I understand you’re frustrated and that’s what you were told directly by Ford. I personally cannot say whether you just had a bad representative or what.

An out of state “dealer” your local dealer is not legally obligated to perform service or warranty work. It’s how their contracts with the manufacturer is set up...
So I am not at home, but my truck is plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi in the garage. What happens if an update like this comes through but I don’t use my truck for a few days? Does it install automatically or will it be waiting when I get back?

Got 23,000 on my Lightning. I’ve owed like 7 F150s and 10 trucks total.
This is the best vehicle I’ve ever had. I love it. I wish more people realized how amazing they are.
I don’t think it actually took that long but the pop-up on my truck window said something like 48 minutes to install it. I’ve never seen anything like that before.
This is so frustrating to me. I’ve gotten all my updates relatively smoothly and quickly.
I have a 2023 Lariat. Last update was end of Feb gateway module.
I have had the CSP on the front sensors done, and the battery sensor replaced.
