the trucks that already offer that aren’t selling as well as the Lightning, most probably because they are no more efficient than the Lightning and achieve the extra range solely through the addition of a much larger and heavier battery. if ford were to go down that path they would be adding...
The powered tailgate will raise up and close if you give it a little bump up and let go, so wonder if that happened as you were driving and caused it to close?? I don't know if the "bump to lift" feature is turned off when you are driving. I've never had to use it, but I've got a snap-in...
I will never understand the "I would upgrade for NACS" point. It is literally nothing more than a connector. If you have an adapter, about the only meaningful advantage a NACS connector has over CCS is that it would make for a slightly more comfortable dildo.
You're fine. The estimated range adjusts based on various factors including your driving. As others say, focus on your miles per kWh as well. My truck is at average of 2.1 miles per kWh since new, so my range on a full charge should be roughly 275. And that's what I generally see. Also remember...
Sorry, but you're expecting too much here. Ford is supplying a charger - for free - that will charge your truck as fast as it can charge. That is absolutely the "proper charger" for your 2025. If you want an 80 amp charger, there are plenty on the market.
Some very knowledgeable and extremely helpful forum members (rugedraw and Jesse Infotainment) are of the opinion that there is no new hardware required....

Assume you've tried your dealer? There are a few very helpful members here who can take a look with your VIN to see if there's anything pending and/or anything obviously wrong that may explain your lack of updates. The other thing might be to opt in to Early Access if you can.
Good luck.
MotorTrend article discussing BC1.5, with the big feature being automated lane changes.
No idea if/when we might see 1.5 on Lightnings, and if so whether it might also be pushed out to the earlier adopters, but looks like a nice upgrade...
We moved from the Bay Area to San Diego and as State Farm - our home, auto and umbrella insurer for roughly 20 years - no longer underwrites home insurance here in CA we had to change anyway. We moved to Mercury for home insurance, and also found we were able to get much better insurance rates...
They already vary price by time, all this seems to be saying is that rate variability by time is going to be dynamic and based on current usage rather than fixed as it has been but still netting out to the same average effective rate overall. Assuming that's what they actually do it's probably a...
Again, peak charge rate is essentially meaningless without the context of how long those peak charge rates can be maintained. You have to look at everything in the aggregate. The Lightning does rather better than you imply.
it looks like you don’t really understand how all this works. Higher peak charging rates are all well and good, but what matters at least as much is how long those peak rates are maintained. Some EVs with higher peaks fall off the cliff well before the Lightning does. You also can’t compare %...
I think a lot of the confusion on this comes from experiences in the Tesla world where 1PD potentially could deliver better efficiency because in most cases if you pressed the physical brake pedal you were always getting friction braking whereas 1PD used regen to facilitate braking.
The Juniper...
The reason you are getting better mileage in 1PD is because you are adapting your driving style to accomodate 1PD. You would get the same mileage if you drove the same way in 2PD. It's not that we "can't be convinced", there's nothing to be convinced about. 1PD does nothing to improve...
There's a TSB that may help. TSB 25-2048, details in the thread below

Upsetting as it may be it does not make the idea of trading your truck, with the financial hit that inevitably entails, for this specific reason any less insane. And "finely tuned investment"? It's a truck.
