You'll be fine. This 100% fear is overblown. Just remote start a few times to drain the battery a little if you are super concerned.

Same here. No complaints on my Lightning really but I'd definitely consider it for more range

I thought I would pay attention to my drive this morning. I remote started (while plugged in) my truck about 8 minutes before I left. since i remoted started, that usually goofs up "this trip" so I reset "trip 1" in my driveway. Temperature was 28-29F, 25.1 miles to work, 75% highway 60-71mph...

I did precondition once back in February just to try it out. I can't remember if I had the flaps on at that point. But I did get 2.3 that day which showed that it does help.

Since I got the truck in december I have no warm weather experience yet. but my commute is 25 miles with 75% highway (60-75mph) and that's where i get 1.9-2.0 in 30-40F weather. I don't precondition but I do occasionally remote start while plugged in if my ford pass is working.

I have them. I honestly can't say Ive done any testing but my numbers have been constant. I definitely did not notice any reduction. my normal driving is 1.9-2.0

I'll put my brake on from now on just in case. She also mentioned the truck can't be charging. So my update time was set to 1am and my normal charging time is 12am to 7am. I changed my update time to 10:30pm.

The wired keypad is a pretty easy mod. there is no battery to go dead.

I spoke to a woman today who said the parking brake needs to be on for updates.

Any idea what these capped connections are for? they are located just in front of rear bumper by the spare tire. Maybe a new project?
