For some reason...I don't know why...they sent an OTA out that updated the IPMA/PSCM with the necessary software to provide the BC 1.4 functionality, but have yet to send an APIM update out that adds those toggles you see in that picture. Maybe the APIM update will show up next week or the week...
If you get the BC 1.4 update (either OTA, or by FDRS) to the IPMA and PSCM modules it will be an update to the IPMA/PSCM updates that you never got that came out a couple of months ago as part of the 24B56 IPMA front sensor fix.
The CSP FSA (24B56) will still likely be attached to your VIN (as...
So does everybody with the OTA BC 1.4 have Sync 1270 as well? Or do some of those folks still have some Sync version prior to 1270 at this point?
I would have thought that if you’re going to tell people they now have BC 1.4 as a result of an OTA that you’d get the whole package at one time.
Javier, are you saying that those of us who did the IPMA/PSCM update from last week using FDRS did not get the configuration changes that would turn on lane changes using the turn signal? But the OTA version does send those changes correctly?
This can also be fixed using FORSCAN. Takes about 2 minutes, if you want to go that route. But back to my point, if the tech follows the TSB it shouldn't be necessary. They just need to run the APIM 360 View Configuration tool after updating the IPMA and everything will work out fine...
Well I did pull your list this morning and that's why I mentioned the stuff they didn't do. I know you can do most of that stuff yourself but getting them to do the BCM so you'd have walk-away-locking would be a plus. You can't do that one.
With regard to the 360 view issue. If your IPMA update was applied by a tech and you have the shrunken 360 view then the tech didn't follow the instructions. See page 3 of the attached.
It's too bad they didn't knock out the BCM and some of the other things while they had it in the shop. As you know it wouldn't have taken long. Would have been a nice gesture after having your truck gone for this long.
That BCM in particular, since you can't do that one yourself.
Well yeah, but it's relevant. Turns out that the IPMA/PSCM we got a few days ago (FDRS users) is the same thing software-wise. So I guess I have BC 1.4 now...although nothing popped up to tell me that afterward. These are the OTA details for anybody who's interested.
Javier, I will go out and do that today. And thanks for pointing out where that was in the spreadsheet, I couldn't find it yesterday.
I'm just hoping that when I do the change it will actually 'stick'.
BTW while we're on the FORSCAN topic. For those of us who have the BC lane change feature...
That won't help and will fall on deaf ears.
One of the largest dealers in our state refuses to work on EVs they didn't sell, and only reluctantly work on those. Apparently (this is anecdotal) the folks that were certified just let their certifications lapse...something to do with the juice not...
I did still have the glare-free icon on the IPC after the IPMA update. But the full glare-free 'effect' of the lights shutting off certain segments so as not to affect oncoming traffic stopped. When I checked the IPMA with FORSCAN I found that I had to change this value back to "9".
