  1. Coolant leak only when charging?

I just got done looking at Munros break down of the cooling system. That is definitely a rat's nest... Think I'll start at the top, take look under the frunk panel. Hopefully the leak is obvious.
  2. Coolant leak only when charging?

I agree. I just hate waiting. Never liked bringing any of my cars to the stealership for anything. Been a mechanic my whole life. Ill poke around and see what's what. If it requires more effort than I am willing to expend. I'll take it in on the appointment date. Thanks.
  3. Coolant leak only when charging?

As usual dealer can't even get to the truck for 10 days. Still under warranty. Is it worth even looking to see if it's something simple that I can tighten or replace on my own? Easier removing the frunk components or plates underneath?
  4. Coolant leak only when charging?

So as usual I charge my truck almost every morning when I get home. Went to sleep got up in the afternoon. Backed the truck up out of the garage and noticed a small puddle. Checked and sure as shit, coolant. So, I check the coolant tank. Very low. Awe hell no. I don't have any coolant. Unusual...
  5. Another Lowered Lightning

    It looks GREAT!
  6. Battery Preconditioning.

Well, at work last night I plugged in the level 1 evse to a generator that happened to be in for a pm check. It was on charge for 6 hours. And going by just the gage, it didn't warm the battery at all. It was 1° last night. So. Maybe with a monitor it went up a couple degrees, but on the dash...
  7. Battery Preconditioning.

I thought about this too . My generator being 220v running for say .5 hours before I leave for my drive home. Would probably be enough to warm / precondition the battery. It was 0° f last night. The battery was just above the bottom line on the temp gage. Doesn't seem to hurt anything except...
  8. Battery Preconditioning.

Yeah well, other Karen's crying they should get free gas if I get free electricity. I just might try the portable generator.
  9. Battery Preconditioning.

So far has worked great. Used only when I can't pull the truck in my garage.
  10. Battery Preconditioning.

It is a level 2 extension. This is during the day when I'm at home.
  11. Battery Preconditioning.

Yeah, makes it no problem. Even charging to 80%. Had to park outside of the garage this morning. So much snow packed under the truck, it would melt in my garage and flood it. Plugged in outside on my 48v level 2 with extension cord. Charging to 90% . Gives me a little more cushion. Thanks.
  12. Battery Preconditioning.

It's 240v generator. With adapter for the 14-50 plug for the FORD Evse.
  13. Battery Preconditioning.

I work the midnight shift. And there is nowhere to plug the truck in while doing a 10-hour shift. Overnight the temp was in the single digits. I did warm the cabin up before I left for my hour drive home. The GOM really went down fast as the truck was probably trying to warm the battery. The...
  14. PSA: Get an Additional BlueCruise Year for Free (2022 and 2023 Models)

  15. Squirrel Chewed Through Charging Wires

Those damn squirrels. I shoot all of them . 100's in the last couple years. Destructive little vermin. The do keep on chewing because their teeth never stop growing. Started with the plastic base my house air conditioner sits on, then they chewed through the old Chevy Colorado wiring harness...

  18. Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power

Check out post #867 in this thread. I believe if you have a regular code scanner that can clear the DTC's it will charge again. Might still have the wrench and only a certain amount of power but will drive. If I read it correctly. On Page 58
