  1. Embarrassed

Crazy! A similar thing happened to me... This morning on my way to work, I was stopped at a light and a Miata pulled up next to me. He looked over and had a stupid grin on his face. Normally I am proud to drive the Dodge Viper, but the truth be told, I felt a little wave of embarrassment flood...
  2. Back row isn't getting warm air

This is a good point. I hadn't considered this because my truck has under seat storage which mitigates the problem. This doesn't really work when you want to warm up the back seat. In general, heat comes out the floor vents and cool air comes out the vents on the dash.
  3. Back row isn't getting warm air

There are vents under the front seats. If Driver Focused is on it doesn't blow air through those vents. I run in Auto level 3 all the time. This is applicable for a 2022 so there might be a difference in a 2025.
  4. Change in battery %

5kWh over nine hours is the equivalent of five incandescent bulbs running the whole time. Do you think waking up the truck draws 500 watts continuously? That seems extremely high to me but I genuinely don't know.
  5. Ice & Easy: Winter Driving Tips from Ford

I wouldn't assume you are being too conservative. A lightly loaded Lightning with the big battery is over 7,000lbs. That's about 2,000lbs more than a similarly loaded gas F150. When things go wrong in a Lightning it is harder to correct because there is A LOT more mass. The good news is they...
  6. Change in battery %

Gremlins of some sort. 4% equals about 5 kWh. There's no way you used 5 kWh in none hours without moving or having something plugged in. My best guess is you witnessed the extremes of the error rate in the battery percentage calculation. If the error rate is +/- 2% and the "actual" battery level...
  7. If the Ramcharger were available when you bought your lightning...

In exchange for my frunk I have to do engine maintenance and stop at gas stations between tows to the dealership? If they pay me $2k/month and unlimited Ubers I'd consider it.
  8. How does your BlueCruise drive in foggy conditions?

If it's not confident it makes you drive. Heavy rain, shallow sun angle, snow, fog, etc...these are all potential issues.
  9. Hauling 4X8 plywood causes failure of lane keep 2024 F-150 Lightning Flash

Theory: when the truck senses something hanging beyond the dimensions of the vehicle it disables driver assist features because those features are untested in those conditions.
  10. PIT maneuver vs. 2023 Lightning PRO

You are interested in Lightning, which is an enthusiast vehicle. Enthusiasts post everything about their vehicle on the internet. New wheels? Post it! Lift kit? Post it! Crash? Post it! When someone crashes a Honda Odyssey it's not posted because nobody cares, including the owner of the Odyssey.
  11. PIT maneuver vs. 2023 Lightning PRO

No airbags? This is is exactly how we felt when someone ran a light and smashed my wife's car. Do you have a plan for your next vehicle?
  12. Speedo off by 1 MPH

My massaging seats always default to the lowest intensity. Where does that rank?😁
  13. Slippery Mode Makes The Lightning Safer in Snow

My right foot is slippery mode!😂
  14. Tonneau Cover Range Improvement numbers

Exactly. What did tailgates look like in 2007, when this study was written?
  15. Tonneau Cover Range Improvement numbers

The link you provided is an 18 year old study by an industry trade organization of wind tunnel drag differences of tonneau covers on trucks that are at least two generations out-of-date. They had to extrapolate theoretical data to conclude there "could" be a 1.8% improvement in fuel economy...
  16. Tonneau Cover Range Improvement numbers

The tailgate is in the giant low pressure area behind the cab. Unless you can induce laminar flow from the air coming off the cab you cannot change the CoD in any meaningful way. A bed topper that connects the top of the cab with the top of the tailgate might reduce CoD. I doubt that's even...
  17. Daily Charging Limit Percentage - what's yours set to?

Good plan. I also shoot for about once per month but if I'm being honest it's less than that. My plan is always to charge to 100% before I know I'm going to drive but it seems I rarely know when I'm going to drive or forget to charge when I do know. I'm on call for work and my "routine" driving...
  18. Daily Charging Limit Percentage - what's yours set to?

I charge to 85% except when I need more. There is a downside to this though. If you experience a battery module failure without a DTC or IPC message you will only discover it when you NEED the extra range. This happened to me last summer when I attempted to charge to 100% the night before a...
  19. Rear Lightning lettering glue issues

It's not glue, it's double sided tape. 3M makes different widths and thicknesses. You just need to find the right size. I replaced the tape on some trim on my golf cart last year. It was pretty easy but I only needed to attach an "I" so there was minimal trimming.
