  1. Need a quick answer on Tremor wheel fitment

18" is no problem, 17" is too small
  2. Sticky / Tacky Dashboard

The armor all brand and others have cleaners and various protectants, including a non shiny version. I never liked the shine so I've always used the matte ones. https://armorall.com/ca/product/matte-finish-protectant-spray/
  3. Battery Overheat During DC Fast Charging

This happened to me once last summer. The fan never kicked in, there were other reports of it too. It's a software issue but not consistent or reproduceable.
  4. Sticky / Tacky Dashboard

Just clean it and armor all it. A little protectant will go long way.
  5. Purchasing the HIS modules

Because there was no longer a need for an 80a evse. It's a great unit, mine has run flawlessly for nearly 4 years. It's made by Siemens if i recall correctly.
  6. Anyone else feel like ACC is too aggressive?

Lol, i find it not aggressive enough at times. However, if you look in the owners manual you'll see this:
  7. Is there a meter or method to determine the 12volt battery state of charge (SOC)?

Battery voltage is a terrible indicator of battery capacity. You can have a battery that maintains voltage quite well until you put a load on it. The real test is to remove it, fully charge it and then use a load tester like this...
  8. SL load range tires on a 123kWhr Flash?

Anything below 42. The difference between 18 and 20 is night and day for me. The truck will handle better with 20s. My current tires are Lt 20in AT and I've lost a little range but no need to swap for winter and I'm much more comfortable driving on the logging roads I'm on almost weekly...
  9. SL load range tires on a 123kWhr Flash?

What were the tire types and brands? My original general grabbers were smooth as silk and efficient but not agressive enough for winter use after the first year. I switched to an at tire and they're much more durable but more noise and less range.
  10. The dreaded "STOP SAFELY NOW" message and the cause...

Do you guys wash your trucks regularly in carwashes that have fruity smelling soaps? I park in the bush all the time and haven't had any issues, I rarely go through car washes.
  11. Subscription model where does it go from here?

This exists already. Not just ev's, Zipcar is just one example. As for the op's line of questions, it goes to what the market wants and what the market can bear.
  12. Sure glad I bought an EV.

The timing belt needs to be done regularly with these engines as it's an interference valve train and if the belt breaks it can destroy the engine. It's a pita job but you do the valve clearance check at the same time so 890$ for that is a little steep. New gaskets are required though...
  13. Drop in bed liner is hard to clean out

I have a drop in liner because it's durable and can help distribute heavy loads like 60 and 100 lb propane tanks I haul and that's what I like. I also put a rubber bed mat in it to keep things from sliding around and it works great. You just need to be wary when you're hauling gravel to put a...
  14. 2023 F-150 Lightning: battery hit 419°F with zero warning, zero fault code, zero shutdown

Better safe than on fire. I had a cylinder head temp sensor fail in my 2019 2.7l and it went into limp mode. Had a fuel pump fail in another car and it shut down. Had a coil pack fail in another car and it shut down. Things break, it's not a big deal IF you know how to fix it. On another...
  15. Frunk Ventilation

No, it will catch on fire or worse. You shouldn't even run one in the box of your truck.
  16. DC Charging Issue

Yes, it has to be unlocked now. There was an update earlier this year or last year that brought out this feature.
  17. Anyone notice Ford App level 2 charge rates have increased in recent versions

73kwh on the app delivered to the truck last night with the fcsp reporting 77.304kwh used. Temps were ideal @20 deg C V 6.18.0 for android.
  18. Upper Control Arms - OEM ball joints are worn out at 116,000 miles

I ride some rough roads year round and never noticed anything until I went in for an alignment after I installed new tires. They couldn't do it because of the uca ball joints, they replaced them and alignment went fine. That was after 90k km's. You probably won't notice anything until other...
