This is fantastic news.
As a former Tesla owner, having used that network, I’d pay a pretty penny for the adapter accessing SC for F150L.
Super chargers are in much more convenient places for my use and have always been more reliable.
Feels like Ford has taken some feedback to heart...
Ha, I had the pleasure of living a couple years in Fairbanks after growing up in MN. Seemed instead of salt, everyone just has a cracked windshield from the gravel. Fantastic pictures and report!
Have been experiencing a lot of faults as season has gotten colder with the FMC. If you live in a climate that gets <30F I would not recommend buying the FMC.
There have been many reported faults with the mobile charger over the last year for both lightnings and Mach Es. It just doesn’t seem...
Have had same issue, does seem to work if I use preferred settings although I also have to remove my schedule because it doesn’t seem to like that in cold weather.
I have no other solutions just to say I’m with you.
despite my efforts to experiment and troubleshoot I’m coming to the same conclusion. The charger is just iffy and gets more faults the colder it gets.
I have the same issue and I caught it red handed tonight
“target charge level” being displayed correctly but ignored
I’ll try using preferred setting next but that will require me to delete my schedule. I had tried this last night after seeing this thread but still had my charge times loaded...
As a side gripe I’m totally dumbfounded why Ford decided to use gps location to coordinate anything with charging levels. And also the fact that when you switch between scheduled charging and charge when plugged in that it resets the desired level to 100%, that’s been a pain as I have not yet...
I’ve got the same thing going on that has intensified the last several weeks since it’s been below 30F.
At first it would fault right after my scheduled charging time was to begin, would have to go out and unplug/replug charger or flip breaker off and on.
I called Ford and they told me to try...
This is what I do, had put a piece of tape on garage floor where I want rear of truck to clear and watch on 360 cam. My situation is tight but not that tight I think it’s approx 1.5ft extra beyond truck length.
Yep same. I'd notice that sometimes on the Tesla, its a little more apparent with the Lightning but nothing that seems concerning....unless a bunch of people dont hear it, ha
Got birth photo today too! Picture taken before suffering scratches in transport which are preventing delivery ha. So at least I have this. Getting closer
Awesome! A few years ago I was living in Fairbanks and took my Ranger up the haul road. Would be cool to do it again someday in the Lightning.
Curious to see range estimates because it’s such a slower mph road for much of it.
Truck delivered, unfortunately has some scratches that have to get fixed before purchase, could be a little bit of a wait.
But salesman let me have visitation and take it for a quick spin today, exciting!
I’d guess ford will have a solution implemented pretty quick for this maybe for 2023.
Probably the easiest fix for them would be to just raise the height of the surrounding trim ring. Would think that would cut down a lot of false presses while still being full exposed
Here is a quick shot at something way too complicated but fun to prototype.
2 modes: lid cover with swing door for access or lid off (stowed upside down)
I'm still about 3 weeks out from the Truck so when it gets here I'll probably refine and beautify/round out the design a little better...
