How about this:
Ford+
$20/mo includes BlueCruise, Hotspot and Connected Services (e.g. YouTube over cellular)
Razor thin margins but at that price point the subscriber base would be huge.
Wall Street will love it.
It does work. I assume it is the same part @PV2EV ordered. I ordered two of them and the covers transferred over without issue. I personally think they make a huge difference in comfort vs the fixed forward tilt of the stock headrests.
My experience with failed installs is that they were all 12V SOC related (at least that is what the truck was reporting back to Ford).
When charging the 12V directly I never saw (via an OBD2 reader) the truck reporting above a 92% charge even though my 12V charger was reporting 100% charge...
Someone on the ICE F150 forum put the non-adjustable headrest into a vise (by its posts) and said they were able to bend it into a more comfortable default position.
What power supply do use for FDRS updates? I've seen recommendations that a 20A supply is good enough, but also some people using dual 20s or even 100A. I have a 20A supply (Cloure PL2320) but wondering if I need something bigger if I pull the trigger on a Mongoose.
My resting voltage (multimeter) ranges from around 12.2 to 12.6. I thought the voltage level was possibly affecting my updates so I hooked up a charger (Clore PL2320) that can supply a constant 13.85 volts up to 20A. Car Scanner (OBD) reported 13.5+ volts during the “Preparing update” phase but...
If you get an OBD2 adapter (I have the bluetooth OBD Link CX which I think is on sale) you can use an app like Car Scanner to get 12V battery info.
The data about PowerUp failures gets reported back to Ford and is visible in PTS. I assume access to PTS is limited to Ford and Ford dealers.
My...
I've tried so many combinations of charging the LVB (and HVB) to get 3.5.5 to install that I am out of ideas. I was able to get info that a low LVB is causing the update to fail but no combination of driving and/or charging has worked.
@GDN Those percentages came from the data that was sent to...
Is that information in Oasis?
My 3.5.5 update won’t install for some reason. I get the same behavior as you. Displays the preparing update. I hear it power cycle a couple times then it just drops out of the update back to the previous sync menu.
I have tried updating after charging the HVB to...
I could be wrong but I don’t believe that is accurate. The input to the factory amp/dsp is a digital signal (A2B). The FiX-86 accepts line or speaker level analog inputs. You need the factory amp to decode the digital signal from the head unit.
That is what makes the NAV-TV special. It can...
You get a red power light on the Kicker but it never turns to blue? Have you tried temporarily wiring the subwoofer leads directly to the Kicker?
The Kicker harness has a left and right speaker input. I had to tie both together (So L+/R+ to woofer lead +) to get it to turn on.
Yes. Rear seat latches with no problem. The space behind the seat is almost a perfect fit for the HS10. I put some corner brackets in to hold it tight but I'm not even sure they are really needed.
