  1. Pics of Lightning Trucks Doing Truck Things. Got Any? 📸

It's a 1000L (250G) tank, and 1L of water = 1kg, the difference in weight between maple sap and water is negligible, so full it would be 1000kg or 2204lb. I only have to move it ~800m but even so I probably wouldn't haul it full in the Lightning, but have done so many times on the back of the...

Hauling maple sap because the Unimog broke down.
  3. Need help trying to figure out how I can use my Lightning off grid.

The way my system is set up when I'm using a generator (Honda or Lightning) to charge my batteries all house loads draw from the generator, not the batteries. So if I have loads that exceed the capacity of the generator bad things happen, i.e. the inverter shuts down the house. The surplus that...
  4. Need help trying to figure out how I can use my Lightning off grid.

Not good enough! If you want to say that you live off grid then you have to walk into the forest naked, as a toddler, without the benefits of an education, modern medicine, etc. No tools for you! Forge your own steel from ore you dug up from your own mine, which (since you don't have steel) I...
  5. Need help trying to figure out how I can use my Lightning off grid.

No problem, one thing I've noticed about using the truck's Pro Power for long time frames is that there's a lot you probably want to turn off that you might not think about: auto-headlights, rain sensing wipers, climate control. No point in leaving those running. @Ford Motor CompanyI think...
  6. Need help trying to figure out how I can use my Lightning off grid.

I'm on an Outback based system so I have no idea if your setup would work the same, but I have both a gas genset (Honda 6500iu) and my truck. I have a setting that I need to toggle in my Outback software to tell the inverter which is providing power (only one can be charging the batteries at a...
  7. Need help trying to figure out how I can use my Lightning off grid.

I've been off grid for 20 years, but today I learned that I've been living a lie! Are roads a part of the grid as well? I drive on public roads too, don't pave my own or anything, just drive around. How about the postal service? I have a mailbox out at the road. Supermarkets? I don't grow 100%...
  8. Need help trying to figure out how I can use my Lightning off grid.

Off-grid here as well, I use the 240V plug in the back for charging my batteries. Are you looking to run the house off the truck, or charge your house batteries off your truck?
  9. Charging my off-grid house from my Lightning

Hey there my battery bank is 1100AH @ 48V, or 52.8KwH. My house is 2500 sq/ft. We have all the normal appliances except a clothes dryer. I prefer hanging my clothes to dry so I don't miss it.
  10. Charging my off-grid house from my Lightning

I live in southern Ontario in an off-grid house I built ~20 years ago. I have 5kW of solar panels on the roof feeding into a 48VDC lead acid battery bank. For about 8 months of the year I produce a surplus of electricity which I cannot store (when the batteries are full they're full). Since I am...
  11. Rear Occupant Alert won't go away!!

I've had this happen before as well. I think there's something off sometimes about the sensors under the back seats that detect weight. Try raising them and lowering them again, make sure nothing under them is preventing them from settling completely into place.
  12. Why would I need a mobile charger?

My 2022 sat outside through a full Ontario winter, rarely plugged in (at my house), and I didn't notice any issues with the battery draining quickly or slowly.
  13. Why would I need a mobile charger?

I use my mobile charger at my home and at my cottage because (at this time) I only have 120V access at each place. My Ford CSP is installed at my partner's house in the city and is set up for 80A. Extra detail: my house is completely off grid and the house battery bank is actually smaller than...
  14. OEM Running Boards Delaminating

I just noticed last week that mine are delaminating as well. Sure to get MUCH worse once winter starts and freezing water gets under there lifting them up more.
  15. Cybetruck Interior Leaked!

Wow the inside is worse than the outside, that had to take actual effort.
  16. AC max?

I've definitely charged past 70% using 120V AC many times. It's the only way to charge at my home or my cottage.
  17. Pics of Lightning Trucks Doing Truck Things. Got Any? 📸

The Unimog has a blown tire so the Lightning was put into service hauling sap from the bush to the sugar shack.
  18. Pics of Lightning Trucks Doing Truck Things. Got Any? 📸

The Lightning effortlessly dragged these logs (and many more) across the field for splitting. Worked even better than my Unimog.
