I haven't seen anything yet that lead me to believe Tesla's powerwall bidirectional stuff will work with anything but a Tesla. Just like ford's only works with fords, and GMC's will only work with GMC products. The communication between the vehicle and charger/inverters are proprietary at...
I am 99% sure the answer is no. They are not using the truck to power the house/powerwall. Kevin22 has the 48 amp ford connected charger. You can see it on ford's website. It is not capable of sending power back to the house. It only has a J1772 plug.
I think they have the chargers...
Keep your Tesla charger. It so more future proof than the ford unit. All cars are switching to NACS so you your next vehicle probably won't need an adapter with the Tesla charger but would with the ford charger.
3rd party apps are extremely helpful even before the Tesla adapters were availble. Fords navigation considers any charger labeled 120KW as a fast charger and will route you there instead of the 350KW EA chargers or the 250KW Tesla chargers. Around my area there are chargers labeled as 150KW...
Usually we want the lowest miles possible but with an EV it means a little less to me. I would want to put a car scanner on it and check battery health, voltages, etc.... As long as that stuff looked normal I wouldn't worry about the milage if you ok with the warranty part of it.
I was in the same situation. What worked for me was turning off plug & charge then turning it back on again. Got a green check mark when it turned back on.
Heres my experience and what my comments are based off of.
The ford charge station pro would not charge my wife's Volvo XC90 recharge because it was only J1772, not CCS. That was a problem. There was no CCS to J1772 adapter. I guess a J1772 extension cable may work but I didn't want to...
I'm first on the list at my local GMC deal for the Sierra Denali EV. I really want it but don't want to pay the price for it. Seeing this video makes me want it even more. Could really use the extra range during duck season traveling to and from the coast with no chargers around.
Completely understand. I went through the same thought process as you. The biggest problem with the charge station pro is that CCS connector being used for AC level 2 charging. There are no adapters to go from CCS to NACS AC level 2 charging. If you keep the charge station pros, your...
Sell the charge station pros and find a 80amp Gen 2 tesla charger along with an 80amp adapter from A2Z or Teslatap. Your truck will charge at 80amps and will be future proofed for the switch to NACS. There are several on ebay.
I also wanted the 80amp charging option because I hope to always have a EV Truck of some sort which probably means a large battery. I was able to sell my charge station pro on facebook for $550 and then purchased a 80amp tesla charger on ebay for $500. I already had the 80amp teslatap so I...
I was originally going to sell it. Demand will be high as all the other OEMs get access to the supercharger network. Although keeping it as a spare does sound smart. What's stopping someone from hitting the unlock button by the charge port and unplugging you and stealing the ford provided...
Just wanted to post that @A2ZEV has amazing customer service. They contacted me right away after seeing this post and told me that I was on his list to call today but he bumped me to the top because he checked the forums this morning. They are overnighting me a new adapter. Will definitely...

Don't think I have seen this mentioned yet but make sure you don't have a trailer selected although I think the range would be lower if that were the case. Easiest thing to do is reset your driving history so the truck will start new with its guesses on range. NC is warming up so range...
I hope I'm not first at my dealership like I was with the lightning. I currently have 40k on the lightning and would love to jump over to the GMC next year when I'm closer to 80k. I wonder if resale value will go up initially like the lightning did before it drops like a rock.
