I received something similar but I am still advancing with the design. I had already gotten rid of my generator (it was an old POS that came with the house) and let them know that the genny was gone and they said that I would need to remove my interlock and breaker to move forward. Working on...
They did my site walk last week. Took 10 minutes. They needed to see the breaker box, my current EV charger and power meter. They said the next part is with the other partners (sunrun, eversource, MassCEC). Hopefully get it installed in the next 3 months.
The supercharger at The Big Sur house (the one you listed) is nice. Up on a hill before a fancy restaurant. There's a nice cafe at the bottom of the hill to get a drink and snack. There are some other level 2 chargers at restaurants in the area if planning a longer stop.
I just got an email that I was selected. Has anyone had the hardware installed? What was your experience like? They're going to put in an 80A Ford Charge Station Pro and a Sunrun HIS
Those sunrun stories were terrible. Those guys come by my house all the time asking if I want solar and say I have their car (the Lightning). I say "not interested, get off my property."
Extended warranty coverage. I just got one as my 36k warranty is ending and I'm keeping this truck for awhile. Those headlights and tail lights get $$$$. $2500 is well worth it compared to those parts failing out of warranty coverage. (Just be sure to get the light coverage)
I keep noticing Ford EV car ads on TV. Especially during football games. Finally showing off the frunk and pro-power features!
It's got me doing the Leo GIF
I don't bother with it. My s23 kept getting too hot and the Android Auto works 50% of the time on wireless. I have to plug it in via USB-C. I put the phone in the phone slot next to the shifter
That's my long term goal. But the 2kw and truck with long extension cords works for now. I don't mind, the solar panel and battery tech gets better and cheaper. Having $0 power bill would be my goal though.
