  1. Accelerating on braking?

Just curious if anyone experiencing this happened to be running adaptive cruise at the time? I was driving a rental Expedition where the ACC was set to the closest follow distance and at one point I felt like the truck wasn't slowing down quickly enough and there is a split second where...
  2. Does this reduction in power seem legit?

I feel like there was an update, perhaps to the software that triggers battery heating. Mine was at 90% overnight but I left it unplugged since I had to leave it in a different spot in my driveway. I had around 85% max power available this morning when I started. Exterior temp was around 10-15F...
  3. Cold Weather affects on our battery - does FordPass app adjust for it?

Mine is currently at 88% and shows a range of 205 after refreshing. When I first pulled it up, it was showing 180 before refreshing so it seems to be adjusting (Lariat ER) I had the truck plugged in until around 5:30 pm last night and had it at 90%. I needed to move the truck and so I it was...
  4. SOC Percentage Fluctuation

I'm sure there are a lot of different readings the truck is using to calculate SOC so it makes sense to see it more now that it's colder out. It seems like this winter I also notice that the truck shows reduced maximum power at a much higher SOC/exterior temp than it did last year. Maybe it's in...
  5. SOC Percentage Fluctuation

I plugged my truck in last night to make sure it was charged up to 90% (crazy winds and lots of power outages locally). When I got in the truck this morning and turned it on the SOC indicated 89% (no big deal), then after driving maybe a quarter mile from my house on a flat residential road, I...
  6. CSP-23B11 -- Dash Mat Replacement (to prevent liquid entering through top of the instrument panel)

I hadn't actually seen this thread or the notice before, but my dealership called me today and told me about it and had their mobile service unit come do it in the parking lot of my office which was a refreshing departure.
  7. Heated Steering Wheel Retrofit PU-22G06

Now that it's starting to get cold... Ford is finally making good on the retrofit of heated steering wheels for the early 2023 MY builds!
  8. CSP-23B57 for High Voltage Battery Notice

A friend of mine from the dealership sent me the dealer bulletin detail. Impacts 36,611 US vehicles. As of right now it looks like it includes 2022 MY build dates 10/14/21 - 10/19/22 and 2023 MY beginning 6/10/22. Seems like pretty much all of them. Edit: removed the detail since someone...
  9. 2023 F-150 Lightning gets price cuts! (7/17/23). Pro now starts at $51,990. XLT priced from $56,990

I believe the cap is on MSRP excluding destination and delivery so it should still qualify for the Federal Credit.
  10. 2023 F-150 Lightning gets price cuts! (7/17/23). Pro now starts at $51,990. XLT priced from $56,990

It seems like more of a demand response to me. This definitely makes it more competitive again, especially with the tax credit. Pricing is a function of supply and demand. If demand is there at existing prices why cut them? I don't really see CT as that much of a competitor since it's so out...
  11. Software updates erases personal settings

I seem to have the same experience. I just got the frunk chime update and all my FM presets are gone, but SXM presets remained. The interesting part is my second radio preset was saved to an HD-3 station. After it blew out the preset, it's now set at 89.9-3. The settings attached to the seat...
  12. Winter is Coming... Any news on heated steering wheel retrofit module?

The last I read, Ford was targeting Q2 2023 to announce a Field Service Action for the retrofit. Obviously it's July now so that didn't happen... The update to the dealer communication regarding the heated steering wheel for Lightning was from February.
  13. Priority Update: 23-PU0105-DC-CHG2: Improved DC Fast Charging

I received the same update last week in my 23 ER. This one specifically gave me a notification that it would follow my set update schedule and that the truck would not be driveable during the update. It gave the option to immediately perform the update as well.
  14. High Battery Temp / Powertrain Malfuncion after DC fast charging

Definitely interested to hear what the outcome is. When I remote started my truck with the AC on I was also surprised at how loud the fan can be. You may not hear it in the truck though, especially in a busy parking lot. It seems like a distinct possibility that you have a cooling fan related...
  15. Ford Sunroofs Suck - Seal Issue Discovered

I haven't had any issues with mine yet, but I was a little surprised the way it's configured with the panel opening into the truck vs out. It just seems like the seal setup could be much more effective closing from the exterior but I'm not an engineer.
  16. Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control

The collision avoidance systems are still active whether cruise control is enabled or not so I see no reasonable safety argument to this. This question seems more of a "how can I have my car automatically keep me from getting a ticket in a school zone". If you feel like your speedometer requires...
  17. Ford Power-Up 4.2.2.2 UI updates

Seeing that you have a 2023, did this finally update your UI?
  18. Heated Steering Wheel deletion and retrofit clarity

At least by the time you get your truck you shouldn't need the heated wheel too much. If they are able to start the process in Q2 that should provide time for parts distribution and all the existing owners to get the retrofit done before the weather turns cold again.
  19. Heated Steering Wheel deletion and retrofit clarity

It looks like there was an update from Ford to dealers back on 2/3 stating that the heated wheel availability would return for trucks built on or after 2/6/23. It also stated that they are targeting Q2 2023 for FSA announcement to restore the functionality in trucks produced without it! Now my...
  20. RAM 1500 (ICE) vs Lightning?

I had a 2019 1500 Laramie for a while. Overall the truck was very comfortable, it was great on a long road trip with my family and a wife who likes to overpack. I have an ER Lariat now and overall I liked the interior of the Ram better. Ram did a great job engineering the interior with lots of...
