Okay, I had this problem from day one as well... I noticed early on that if I touched the rear door lock button it would work immediatly... I figured out it had to do with the door closing.. maybe the vibration... but if you wait about 1 second longer than you want to press it it will work 99%...

I agree a retrofit with NACS cables from Ford would be easier "maybe" but I was thinking of a little more Rube Goldberg design, use an existing ccs cable bundle tied into the existing wiring, then an adapter plugged into it so the Tesla NACS adapter would plug into that... maybe a pipe dream ...

At the same time I would love to retrofit the NACS assembly to the passenger side blank, thus solving the Tesla short cable problem... I had this problem with my 23 as well... seemed to be tied to the charging pad... solved it by moving the phone to the slot next to the cup holders when I'm on a call and haven't had a problem since.. solved both of the above problems.
