Well, crap. I forgot about the FIXD thingy I had plugged in to the OBD! That may be it. More likely than an unused USB cable that draws no power when the truck is off!

Agreed that you can't really make a brick aerodynamic. But IMHO, what ever small loss or gain you would have having a "closed" bed verses an open one is less important than the terrain and/or headwind/tailwind and speed.

So I could load the bed with sand and have virtually no effect on range!🤔

Have not read all of the posts so someone may have mentioned this before. These covers are not weightless. Neither is the stuff that I carry around in the frunk or cab that I rarely if ever use. Things like the 110/220 charge kit, trailer hitch, air mattress setup for the back seat, rear floor...

I will say that the dealer contacted WEPA (whatever that is) and they stated the seals on the lamp assembly is the issue and they would not cover it. Although the federal government is shut down, I do plan on contacting my state attorney general consumer protection bureau and working from that...

My dealer just told me that after talking with ford for me that they would not cover it despite having the extended warranty for lighting. They want $1600 for the repair with no guarantee that it won't happen again.

I just noticed that mine has water in it and the back up lights are almost totally out. Very frustrating.

What I did was install a 240 outlet right where I planned putting the charger. I ran the very expensive cable that's needed for the big charger right next to it. When the big charger came. I had the electrician disconnect the 240 circuit at the box and replace the breaker with the 100 Amp...

I think calling ford customer care and asking to be escalated up the chain as far as it will go. A new function on at least my Samsung phone is the ability to record phone calls. I would right up front tell the customer care agent and each successive agent that you are recording the phone call...

As I understand it, I may not be getting updates because it is sensing the SoC on the LVB is down when they try to send them. Is putting it on a trickle charger a good way to get the updates to see the battery is at it's optimal SoC? If so can someone recommend a good one to get?

Well Ted, I went to my local ford dealer to order the parts. He found the push retainers but could only find the side shield bolt in the brackets which he would charge 40 something dollars for. As I don't need the brackets, just the shield bolts, should I try another dealer or call your parts...
