Hmmm, I hadnāt thought about FordPass changes. FordPass capabilities are tied to the VIN, so even though the truck recognizes the extra range, does FordPass? Iām assuming if you tell the truck to charge to 100% through the app then it would know to do that since the truck recognizes the larger...
Thanks for the help, y'all. I figured it out. I had the wiring wrong. I disconnected the wire on the puddle lamp from pin 12 and ran a spare pigtail I had from the puddle lamp to one of the grounds and the puddle lamp came on. Now I just need to take off the mirrors and correct it officially...
Do older Fords count? This was taken back in 2000, where for a brief time we had four F-Series in the family, three of which were for my dadās lawn service business.
Today, my brothers and I each drive Fords, an F-350, and two F-150s, one of which is my Lightning.
Hmmm, I don't have the puddle lamps connected to a ground pin. I'll look into that and report back.
I'm assuming the ground pin doesn't matter? Either C521 pin 20 or 22?
I bought a set of cheap manual fold knock-offs from eBay. I used various parts from them to retrofit my existing mirrors, including some of the wiring. Everything I added to my mirrors works fine except for the puddle lamps.
Edit: I have tried two different sets of puddle lamps and neither...
@21st Century Truck Tried this over the weekend. Switched both to the "Ford" option. Still does not work. I cleared my DTCs and the only remaining were for both the PDM and DDM:
Code: B1166 - Right Front Puddle Lamp Output
Additional Fault Symptom ( :15):
- Circuit Short To Battery Or Open...
I don't believe I did. Would that be the following?
DDM 740-03-16 xxxx-xxxx-**-- 00=Ford, 01=Lincoln, 02=manual, 03=powerfold
PDM 741-03-16 xxxx-xxxx-**-- 00=Ford, 01=Lincoln, 02=manual, 03=powerfold
I need to look and see what my current setting is, but would I need to change it to Ford (00)...
Bringing this back to the top. I tried a different sent of puddle lamps so I don't think the original lamps I used were bad. Further, on both sides when puddle lamps should be on (tried testing using the 4 zone lighting) both showed they got about 2v DC instead of 12v DC. Any idea what might be...
I was afraid it might be something like that. I don't have access to FDRS and have no idea what modules are updated vs. not. I also added the WAL toggle but it is greyed out so I don't think I have the latest updates required for that either.
Should I revert the changes I made back to my...
So I got the toggle enabled on my '23 Pro. I plugged in a space heater to one of the bed outlets, turned it on, then turned off the truck and the power to the bed outlets also turned off.
I tried multiple times but each time the bed outlets turned off. Am I missing something?
EDIT: I also...
Impressed youāre even willing to try this. Definitely following this thread out of curiosity.
Once the SR battery is out, and programming aside, it should be relatively plug and playā¦right? I could be totally wrong.
The Munro Live tear down videos will likely be your friend.
I looked into getting one of those hitch-mounted cranes last year because I too bought a jointer and needed to load it up somehow. It was a 6ā grizzly, and not one of those benchtop models either. After some back and forth I decided to buy a set of aluminum ramps. Just rolled it right up with a...
I even feel that way with my ā23 Pro ER. The only thing that the 22s offer that I couldnāt get (or add later myself) was the iced blue silver color.
I had to replace my OEM tires a little before 30k miles. They were very worn around the outside edges and Iām not really a āspiritedā driver. But others have experienced the same thing with the OEM tires.
I had these same Bridgestones installed about 1200 miles ago. Your posts about them helped me decide on them. They are a great balance of AT without being too aggressive, and a good bit lower in price compared to the Toyos. And at the time, they were cheaper than the Defenders. Iāve been really...
