Why is it that when I put a couple of pieces of plywood (or anything else) that hangs out of the bed of the truck; it defeats the lane-keeping function. I'm not using blue cruise but just the basic cruise. There is only about 2.5 ft. sticking out the back of the truck with the tailgate up. I...
Putting my 2024 Flash in Sport is a noticeable upgrade in acceleration. Sometimes I will put it in Sport when needing to pass on a 2-lane road. When my wife is along, I usually put it back in Normal  Sort of tricky though. I have to take my eyes briefly off the road to make that change.
Having said that, now I have had several instances where I came back after pressing that slider to keep the power on and it was off. This last time I was about 79 ft. from the truck when I remembered to lock it. So I took out the key Fob and locked it. When I came back the freezer was off...
I know. The more I hear lately is try to keep my '24 Flash. Still got about 20 months on the lease. With the tax rebate and some dealer incentives here in Idaho they were able to sell me on the lease and the payments were less than my 2019 Ram 1500. I still had over 4 years to pay on the...
I heard somewhere (don't remember the source) that there were actually some urban professionals who bought 4 wheel drive vehicles for driving to work but they wanted to look like they did 4 wheeling. So there was a place where you could buy spray on mud to spray on your truck to impress people.
Yes, I have this feature on my 2024 Flash. I think it is keeping my freezer on when I park at the food store or Costco, etc. but I'm having a bit of trouble giving it a good trial. For example, today on the 15" screen I turned the slider on to keep Propower on when I turn off the truck. Then...
I liked highway driving better without Blue Cruise. I didn't even use it much during my trial on my 2024 Flash. Too many nagging things. Seemed to be a little more sensitive; too sensitive. I really didn't notice much when it was just on regular cruise and lane keep etc.
I don't think I...
Try using the Blue Cruise. It's even more sensitive than without. That's when I had an easy decision not to pay the monthly fee for that even though my '24 Flash is capable. Wonder if this update mitigated the sensitivity of Assisted Cruise when using Blue Cruise as well.
Yes, I remember that I saw an ad for the 2024 Lightning Flash on YouTube when I was still thinking about looking for an electric truck. They were pointing out that the Flash was the one to get because it had a lot of some of the main features of even the Platinum level truck (like the PPO...
Then you can walk away and use the remote to turn off the truck again right; with the PPO still on. Locking the truck does not abort the "stay on while truck is off" thing? I'm still learning how to do this now that I bought a fridge for it. I left it on while the Mrs and I were in the...
If I select Vehicle along the bottom - it opens with this screen - it either says vehicle is "on" or "parked". I've seen it say "parked" sometimes but usually it's says it's on, even if it isn't.
I think it has to do with the fact that I rely on my wifi to get in touch with the truck from the app. No cell service at all.
So, I know the truck is off because this has happened to me several times. But the app says its on when I first bring up the app on the "vehicle" page.
Anybody...
Where does it say in the Lightning manual that there has to be a constant draw on the PPO for it to stay on? On my 2024 Flash all I can find is setting the power limit low enough so it will stay on.
Recently I charged up my 2024 in my garage with my ChargePoint 50 at 48A The cord to the CPH50 were warm which is unusual. I have to say that I neglected to set the charging limit down. Meant to charge to 80% but it is set to 100% by default of course. So the charge was at 90% when I went...
I know when we leased the two EVs we have now (an EV6 and an F-150 Lightning) the dealership charged it up to 100% before we drove it off the lot.
Maybe when they do more and more they have to charge lots of $$ to make up for it. I think the reason a lot of dealers show up on, for example...
I thought when you said the PPO is unreliable, I thought you were saying you can't depend on it staying on. Sounds like you are just referring to the fact that one has to remember and go through the motions of setting "keep power on" button. Is that right?
I say that because I read one post...
Just bought a 53 quart portable freezer/refrigerator. It came with a 12VDC power cord to plug into the cigarette lighter. Also came with an A/C adapter cord. In my 2024 Flash I can utilize a couple of different ways to power it on short trips such as to town ( about 1 hr. 20 min one way) I...
Not sure this is the right place to post this, but talking about lifts and such: My 2024 Flash came with an 8 X 10 piece of paper with a picture of an in bed camper; saying that having one of those in the bed is not recommended due to center of gravity issues. Seems like with the heavy battery...
I like using my EV6 app to monitor my charging so I won't get any "idle charges". Warns me when it's nearly done and when it is done. Several times I had to speed up my shopping so I could get back out to the car. I love it.
