  1. I drive FAST - how much faster will my battery wear out?

This. Don’t ever forget you are throwing around 6800+ lbs (I think that’s about what it was when I weighed her with me in it). Some parts will take the brunt of it. That being said when that gas guzzling big rig pulls up next to you and try’s to take you off the line, I expect everyone in here...
  2. I'm glad I have my Lightning....

You made a great choice Marsha! My 2014 Tacoma DCLB Sport ($33k) was stolen ~2016 and I dearly loved that truck. I replaced it with a 2016 DCSB OR ($37k) and the bells and whistles were nice from the newer body style but drivability was never even close. That 4 liter V6 they used to put in those...
  3. Suggestion: One-Time Departure Pre-Conditioning

Yes this does become cumbersome. I really wish Ford would implement a push button departure, specifically for folks that head out at different times certain days of the week. It would be nice not to have to set and delete schedules, specially since the handshakes with servers seem to be a bit...
  4. Remote Start from Key Fob - It Works!

I've had it happen multiple times this winter at work after only 5 or 6 hours between 30-40 degrees F. The saver is very conservative and really seems like an oversight as to have at least given us the possibility of starting using the default key fob from the factory. I assumed there was no...
  5. Battery conditioning, is it worth it?

I've gone back and forth on this matter. I have the Chargepoint EVSE so not the best monitoring but in general by the time the dust settles it costs me an extra ~2-3kw to pre-condition. That's about $0.22-0.33 where I live so this time of year when everything is in the 20's and 30's outside I'm...
  6. Predicted charging completion time not showing up

Yes this happened to me last night, I happen to use iOS and Android, both with v5.11.0. Lightning charged fine to specified percentage but indicated the -:-- on both iOS and Android. I often wonder if Ford uses software houses out of India or something and doesn't actually have a team. My...
  7. Extended Range 320 Miles???

We've taken the Lightning on a few road trips and I love it. Sure it's easier to put gas in a vehicle, but follow the rule of don't fast charge passed 80% and it's really manageable. I've never spent more than 25 minutes or so on a fast charger, pretty much by the time my wife and kids go to the...
  8. Front plates not installed

My bracket and plate are still sitting in my frunk. I opened the bracket and said the same thing (hell no). If the boys in blue ever call me on it, I’ll look at the no drill bracket option.
  9. Tesla app vs Ford app, which is cheaper Supercharger rate?

+1 for plug and charge. I wish there was a way to pair it with the Tesla membership because it’s super nice to just roll up toss on the adapter plug in and 10 seconds later she’s hot. Has worked flawless every time for me which means the leg work must be happening on Teslas side ?
  10. Paint Chipping on Bumper ‘24 Lariat

Yeah this paint is pretty thin. I already have a couple chips on my bumper from just a couple months and like 1,400 miles. Just actually ordered a new kit for this truck from drcolorchip.com. I’ve used them on numerous vehicles in the past and can vouch for the product. It’s a bit more than...
  11. UPDATE: Dongle for Sirius Car Kit

I noticed the same thing, it's very strange and makes it pretty hard to prep the battery for charging this time of year. I do believe I was able to find the Tesla Superchargers using the new Public Charging app in the truck though so give that a try as a work around for now.
  12. Ford charge station pro coupon required after April 3rd, 2024

I did not know that! I suppose I’m even more content with the choice then. Strange indeed they would continue to push it for anyone not getting setup with bi-directional.
  13. Ford charge station pro coupon required after April 3rd, 2024

Man, just read through this whole thread and I do feel for the OP in many ways... Hopefully you got some sort of resolve there. Ford allows you to take a $2,000 rebate instead of the charger and after seeing this, I'm glad I did that. Of course, I already had a 50 amp service for a welder in...
  14. 2024 Lariat - Heat Not Working Well

Yeah, I'm merely trying to help others verify consistency with our operation so they don't think there is something wrong with their ride. It's not ever going to run like an ICE heater that's for sure. I can't make it blow my socks off but I've never not been able to warm up when needed, just...
  15. 2024 Lariat - Heat Not Working Well

Oh I did leave that out. It was set to 74.
  16. 2024 Lariat - Heat Not Working Well

No, I didn't remote or anything, just hopped in after 8 hours between 41 and 46 degrees.
  17. 2024 Lariat - Heat Not Working Well

So hopped in the truck and headed home from work today and I suppose I’ve been micromanaging the climate since I started following this thread. OAT was 46 degrees. After about 2 or 3 minutes on Auto 3 with seats on auto and steering wheel on, I had solid air blowing out of the defog and really...
  18. 2024 Lariat - Heat Not Working Well

Yeah, if you “start climate” or set a departure time it’s blowing air as hard as it can out of every crevice which works fine for me but I also agree with majerus that we should be able to recreate that kind of air easily if we see fit for the occasion. “They are my miles and I’ll use them how I...
  19. 2024 Lariat - Heat Not Working Well

I agree! Auto 3 should give you the same result as cranking the manual. Would be nice if Ford updated that. We all know it means death to the battery but that would be nice to streamline the setting.
  20. 2024 Lariat - Heat Not Working Well

Yeah it's certainly not ICE heat with the heat pump. You have to crank it to warm up. Utilize those heated seats and steering wheel and most importantly set a departure time (with warm setting this time of year). It heat soaks everything and makes it more of a maintenance warming instead of a...
