Any chance anyone has a photo of the Comma mounted below their FITCAMX? I really don’t want to hinder my visibility by mounting too low, but I’d also prefer to keep a separate dash cam.
I used to rest my hand their also but I got used to it very quick… you just readjust. It’s also in the exact same place as my wife’s new Explorer so the muscle memory between the 2 is helpful.
I went the front mount route. Bought all the stuff to sand, fill, and paint. But when I put it in for a trial run I said, well dang… that doesn’t look half bad. So for now no intention in painting but I’ll hang onto the supplies in case I change my mind. No ragrets here.
Also I farmed it out to...
Thanks everyone, great suggestions here. I shopped it around pretty thoroughly and I can’t make the numbers work the way I want them to right now. New or used. I’m happy with my truck and already put a lot of effort into adding adaptive cruise and lane centering, rotary dial, etc, so I’m going...
I’ve been looking at this too, but the math doesn’t work out with no finance incentives on used vehicles. Plus I’m more on my own to eat the trade in difference.
With tax incentives going away I started toying with the idea of trading out my 23 XLT SR (purchased new 4/24) for a 25 Flash ER. Other than the battery, the Flash adds nothing of any value to me. I don’t drive a much, with only 11k miles, and almost never DC charger but a couple times a year...
I’m probably going to get this installed on my 4 ton HP before summer ramps up. I assume you are trying to get it below 30amps using the 30amp pro power plug and not the home backup?
I noticed this exact same problem exactly as you all have already described with my 23 XLT. I’m going to add it to my list of grievances for my next visit probably in a month or so when I go in for my rotation and recall, unless someone has a better home remedy.
The stock shifter would lock out the button preventing it from moving out of park without the key, for use when truck is powered on with pro power in use or keeping the cabin conditioned. Does the rotary shifter also prevent leaving park without the key?
If I plugged in and let go, it seemed like the whole thing would visibly sag a good bit from the weight of the CCS cable. You’d hear the actuator motor, then hear it again as it failed. Solution: pulling upward on the cord a few inches behind the CCS handle to get some leverage, essentially...
Just went through this with my 23 XLT SR. Took a long road trip for the first time in this truck and had never previously attempted a DC charge since I am a pretty low mileage driver and charge exclusively at home with level 2.
Drove the first 175 miles and stopped at an EA station. Plug in...
