I drove my Cybertruck to Phoenix a few weeks ago. It is unquestionably more comfortable than the Lightning. The Lightning seat is too hard and it feels like it pushes back. The only saving grace is the seat massagers, but honestly they’re not that great and my passenger side stopped working. ?
My wife drove her X from Las Cruces to Albuquerque yesterday. I drove my Platinum Lightning. I left an hour early, she beat me home by an hour.
The Tesla supercharger in Truth or Consequences doesn’t work for non Tesla’s. Socorro does, however, I had a charge fault headed south through there...
I had Desert Rat do them for me. There may have been one level up on the Bilstein’s, but more off road application.
Hopefully it’ll help for you too, good luck!
Yup. I’m not sure if it was just my truck, but I felt like the dispersion of vibrations was just directly being sent into the cab of the truck and into my seat. I’ve got a 22 raptor on 37’s that is more comfortable than the lightning was when I got it in December.
I put the Bilstein’s on...
Bought my platinum lightning in December and just could not get used to the rake. Being a Raptor and Cybertruck owner I didn’t enjoy the look or the ride quality either. Really surprised there’s not more posts on ride quality, but my Lightning left much to be desired. Now, it rides so much...
That’s super helpful. Thank you! I’ve got the deployable side boards. After seeing it at a side, I’m not sure I’ll like the wheels on mine as much as I do on yours. The side step really connects the wheels giving it that tough look. Really great, thanks for taking the time to share!
I’ve got a 3 inch level coming in a week or so. These might be the wheels. They look great! Would you mind uploading a photo directly from the side too, not at an angle? ???
Nice! I do like the look.
I’m going the other direction, however. About to put a 3 inch leveling kit on my Lightning.
I need to find someone to sell me a 2021 or newer F-150 Raptor wheel set to make the look complete.
I believe the Platinum’s got 24’s. I may just sell those if I can find the...
I have 3 Tesla’s, one of which my wife’s 2020 X, and a 24’ Platinum Lightning for 2 months. Infotainment hasn’t bothered me a bit. You only have YouTube however, if that matters to you. I would say the X is more efficient, maybe 5-10% better if I had to guess.
Worth trying the monthly trial at least since you have the option. I’m fine with the hardware as it came with. Hard to think it could get much better. The 2020 is as good as my 2024 AWD CT w FSD.
Latest FSD updates are absolutely proof that we’ve arrived in the promise land. Early adopters know how good it is now. Even my wife’s 2020 Model X is insanely great on FSD.
If you compare Tesla’s auto pilot (included w every Tesla - free), it’s essentially what Blue Cruise is. As a consumer I couldn’t see paying for a system that doesn’t work for in town driving, ie. stopping at lights, navigating streets, etc, like FSD does. Once my 90 day trials runs out, I will...
I just had the 6112’s installed. Not sure which drivetrain, but the Bilstein’s run a little nicer up front now. It didn’t quite level me, but it’s less rake for sure.
It’s simpler in my mind if the mfg gives me best case based on epa ratings. Yes, we have the energy app on Tesla to give us some useful data, but the nav is likely the best way to go for sure as far as range to a destination.
I don’t want a mfg to give me an est. range at purchase and then see...
