I thought they fixed this and you could access it while driving to find a charger?
I have it in trailer tow mode with a trailer behind me and all I'm getting is the limited functionality while driving screen demanding it I pull over to find a charger.
For sure even with careful planning it can be troublesome on that route while towing. Granted it happens very rarely. One day we will have charge stations everywhere so this will not be a problem.
So I did some initial testing today just to see the outcome... For science of course.
It looks like I can add 2 kwh every 11 minutes in an emergency situation.
Now granted I am an Electrician and this generator is used on jobsites.
I wouldn't advise anyone to spend 5000 to haul a generator...
Welp after reading this thread I'm going to be the bearer of bad news and then give a solution.
The mainstream CCS to NACS adapters are only for DC fast charging. It does not pass every port and pin due to safety reasons. It will not work for AC level 1 or level 2 charging.
A standard 1772 to...
Ladies and Gentleman I present to you my EREV:crazy:
I find Pennsylvania has quite a few charging deserts when towing.
If I need to go somewhere far I just simply load up the big inverter generator and 11kw portable charger.
Now if I would ever be close to running out of range I can put...
If you think about it, utility bills would be astronomical if we used more than a few 10s of amps regularly. If someone used 100 amps for 4 hours per day, plus 20 amps for the remainder of each day, that would be 5760 kWh per month. That's about 5 times my highest usage during the summer when...
I was simply informing you there is no where in the NEC 2020 or forward code that uses terminology "80 percent rule". It is sized by 125 percent as written.
From the 2023 NEC.
Article 100 Definition: Continuous Load: A load where the MAXIMUM current is expected to continue for 3 hours or more...
I can see the brake flush after 3 years.
There is no such thing as a routine AC flush that is on a closed loop system that is functioning correctly. You actually risk introducing contaminants by wastefully vacuuming it down and recharging it. Refrigerant does not just go "bad". Since it is...
FYI 80% rule that you keep mentioning no longer exists in the code. It has been replaced with NEC 210.19(A). That rule only now applies to continuous loads. A continuous load is defined as continuous draw for 3 hours without interruption.
Realistically the only thing in a house that would be a...
This adapter looks like it could solve the problem of charging nacs vehicles on the FCSP without having to modify a j1772 to NACS adapter.
It is listed as an AC / DC combo adapter.
What are your thoughts?
