As a PSA for anyone who purchases brackets from SoundsGoodStereo, youāll have to contend with running your harness through a tiny hole as shown in the attached pic.
I appreciate the advice. With the custom bracket, neither the plug nor the spade fit through the wire channel thatās drilled into the bracket so Iād need to cut that Metra wire and splice back. Would be just as easy to crimp new spades on the pigtail I have vs splice the wire on the Metra.
With the SoundsGood bracket, there is a hole that the wire is fed through otherwise the wire will interfere with screwing the bracket down. Even with the Metra adapter, you have to cut the wire and splice and/or solder. The kit comes with the proper plugin, but itās a pigtail. I have spare...
I had a blow out a few months back. I have the free Ford roadside so I contacted them through the app. They were there in less than 10 minutes. The dude seemed to know about the Lightnings. He used his jack and a stack of old paperback novels to get the Jack point. When I took the car to...
I have a whole set of Alpine Rās front and rear ready to install and bought the mounting brackets from SoundsGoodStereo. I spoke with them online and they told me to solder everything (Iāve not done this before but willing to figure it out) instead of crimping spades. All of the stuff has been...
So you went with something different from Dayton to the mounting wings? I found this harness as a potential fit from digging in an F150 forum if anyone has experience with it. https://ebay.us/m/RD1qdW
I just saw this on Amazon. https://a.co/d/7z6O7yL. Seems to have a number of mounting points. I wonder if it would work as an adapter.
Also, someone in another forum recommended this as a wire harness for a center speaker? https://a.co/d/5ka2nI8
What do you need to upgrade to the Dayton on the 8 speaker B&O? How easily does the grill cover come off. I havenāt found a video removing it. Is this the speaker? https://a.co/d/0t4ZbpT
Is the sound notably better? I bought all of the speakers and materials, but the temps outside were getting to be a little too much. Iāll probably wait at least a couple more months at this point
I appreciate the attempts to educate on this, but I have to pull my layman card on this one š. I was trying to charge a power station using a DC power supply powered by the truck. Power station was showing 850 in, 900 watts on the meter, and 1400 in the truck. For clarification, assuming the...
Interesting. So you think the Lightning is confused by this power supply? I mean itās a cheap power supply for sure. The watt meter is reading as I would expect as itās losing roughly 7% due to the fan and whatever else.
I am trying to use an 850 watt DC power supply plugged into the bed ProPower outlet. I have a watt meter on this cord and it says itās pulling just under 900 watts. When I go into my truck it says itās pulling 1400! Any idea what this is? Does this value include the fans inside the truck...
I have a shifter related story. I thought it was similar to some of the posts I had read here. I went into a PDQ restaurant the other day and saw a Ford Raptor in the drive through. The drive through is very narrow and I thought he was stuck. He was still there when I left so I went over to see...
