I'm taking mine out on only my 3rd trip out of state, but fortunately, there are plenty of charging options up and down I75 into the wild hither lands of TN. I'll charge to 100% tonight and let her rip tomorrow.
OK, I've not had any coffee this morning, so to be blunt, "why?". What's the use case with these specs? The damned thing is not a trail goat (too big), so...what's it going to do that a set of A/T tires and +/- lift couldn't do on existing Lightning?
Slightly off topic, but I was hauling some stuff on Sunday and left the tail gate open and start driving up the hill to load more and the truck closed the tail gate automatically! I didn't realize that was a thing...It didn't hurt anything, but I was surprised that when I was at the top of the...
Beautiful truck!
It's in the options. After Ford tech blew away my Sync system last week, I had to go back through and set up everything. I think it is under "lighting".
Stupid example:
My wife burned out brake pads on my GX460 in 30K miles. I put on new rotors and brakes and went 70K miles with negligible wear….my dad was adamant about brake use when I was learning to drive and she learned to drive in ATL. Light foot?
I have been following the Slate forums for a few weeks, so I'm 100% understanding the appetite for small less expensive (less complicated) EV trucks. Different use case completely than what we're running with our Lightnings. That said, I put in a $50 Slate deposit a couple of months ago, b/c...
Pretty sure my mobile tech guy had just pounded 2 Monsters before pulling up. He was STOKED to be there and get to work!
(they did fix my front sensors too, btw)
It’s a bigger gripe for me than the frunk! Bc I use sync every drive for maps, phone calls, CarPlay…every time. It’s got to work. Else I’m looking for a different solution.
Update: Matt, the very friendly Ford mobile tech, blew away my sync system (bc I was bitching about CarPlay dropping multiple times per drive) and ran every diagnostic on my frunk. Said he *thinks* it is the left lift motor, so he ordered both lift motors and will attempt to replace in my...
I noticed that some Tesla charging cables are very short, too. Had to pull in and practically climb the curb to get it to reach. But, with adapter, worked flawlessly….hate on Elon all we want - Tesla launched our charging infrastructure!
