  3. Ford Universal EV Platform Announced: Innovation Meets Efficiency in New EV Platform, Assembly Process and Midsize Truck

I'm taking mine out on only my 3rd trip out of state, but fortunately, there are plenty of charging options up and down I75 into the wild hither lands of TN. I'll charge to 100% tonight and let her rip tomorrow.
  4. Ford Universal EV Platform Announced: Innovation Meets Efficiency in New EV Platform, Assembly Process and Midsize Truck

Guess it depends how hard you mash on the skinny peddle on the right? (kidding - I feel you on range anxiety)
  5. Spied: F-150 Lightning "Tremor" Off-Road Prototype

OK, I've not had any coffee this morning, so to be blunt, "why?". What's the use case with these specs? The damned thing is not a trail goat (too big), so...what's it going to do that a set of A/T tires and +/- lift couldn't do on existing Lightning?
  6. Ford Lightning review by The Car Care Nut on YouTube

I'm pretty sure that half the nation appreciates not participating in fall Hurricane season though, eh?
  7. Ford Lightning review by The Car Care Nut on YouTube

Amen. My lazy-man's carwash does the undercarriage as a matter of course, but we're washing off red mud in GA...not SALT!

Punt. Call the dealer and ask for a knowledgeable tech to FaceTime you through it?
  9. Ford Lightning review by The Car Care Nut on YouTube

Slightly off topic, but I was hauling some stuff on Sunday and left the tail gate open and start driving up the hill to load more and the truck closed the tail gate automatically! I didn't realize that was a thing...It didn't hurt anything, but I was surprised that when I was at the top of the...

Beautiful truck! It's in the options. After Ford tech blew away my Sync system last week, I had to go back through and set up everything. I think it is under "lighting".
  11. After more than 250,000 miles, Ford Mustang Mach-E still has 92% battery life

Stupid example: My wife burned out brake pads on my GX460 in 30K miles. I put on new rotors and brakes and went 70K miles with negligible wear….my dad was adamant about brake use when I was learning to drive and she learned to drive in ATL. Light foot?
  12. Ford Universal EV Platform Announced: Innovation Meets Efficiency in New EV Platform, Assembly Process and Midsize Truck

I'm thinking that they do. The little not-Maverick-not-Ranger EV truck and whatever this T3 will be.
  13. News: T3 full-size electric EV pickup being delayed until 2028

I have been following the Slate forums for a few weeks, so I'm 100% understanding the appetite for small less expensive (less complicated) EV trucks. Different use case completely than what we're running with our Lightnings. That said, I put in a $50 Slate deposit a couple of months ago, b/c...
  14. Frunk Only Opening 1 Foot then Stops

Keeping an open mind, but if this one turns into a continuous set of calls to Ford, I won’t own it through the extended warranty period.
  15. Frunk Only Opening 1 Foot then Stops

Pretty sure my mobile tech guy had just pounded 2 Monsters before pulling up. He was STOKED to be there and get to work! (they did fix my front sensors too, btw)
  16. Frunk Only Opening 1 Foot then Stops

It’s a bigger gripe for me than the frunk! Bc I use sync every drive for maps, phone calls, CarPlay…every time. It’s got to work. Else I’m looking for a different solution.
  17. Frunk Only Opening 1 Foot then Stops

Update: Matt, the very friendly Ford mobile tech, blew away my sync system (bc I was bitching about CarPlay dropping multiple times per drive) and ran every diagnostic on my frunk. Said he *thinks* it is the left lift motor, so he ordered both lift motors and will attempt to replace in my...
  18. Trip from central MD to OBX & back

I noticed that some Tesla charging cables are very short, too. Had to pull in and practically climb the curb to get it to reach. But, with adapter, worked flawlessly….hate on Elon all we want - Tesla launched our charging infrastructure!
