  1. Frunk Only Opening 1 Foot then Stops

Mine wasn’t random. It was after a service intervention…worked before software update and now it doesn’t
  2. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

I feel you. I stopped short of the RC power boards...I need Ford to fix some fundamental stuff before I invest more (tires, tint) on this one.
  3. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

Welcome, Kevin! Post of pic of your '22.
  4. Frunk Only Opening 1 Foot then Stops

They are still saying that I had to bring it in to the dealership so that their "electronics guy" could look at it...the latch releases from the inside and the key fob, but the button on the frunk no longer releases or returns the frunk.

Welcome! Hopefully your Ford experience is excellent.
  6. Frunk Only Opening 1 Foot then Stops

So far it has been this frunk issue and the wonky on/off CarPlay connection…I can plug the phone in for flawless CarPlay…but frunk has to get fixed
  7. Frunk loud pops when opening

You got a YouTube of those maneuvers?
  8. Frunk loud pops when opening

That sounds like where I’ll be in a week…please keep us in the loop!
  9. Frunk loud pops when opening

So, I should just expect to take mine in and ask for a rental car b/c they are going to have it for a while?
  10. Frunk loud pops when opening

Ford's mobile team couldn't figure out my Frunk problem, so I have to take the dumb thing in. The recall software update only made it worse, so now it only unlocks via the remote and no other method, nevermind not powering up and down. Stupid stupid frunk lids.
  11. T-Boned Today. Is It Totaled?

That's a good question, though I'm not 100% sure I understand the implication. $7500 is on a new vehicle. Are you saying that the "value" to replace a new vehicle that was wrecked the day after it left the lot would be somehow impacted by the absence of the $7500 incentive in a couple of...
  12. T-Boned Today. Is It Totaled?

Allstate! I quit them last year after their taking 9 MONTHs to settle out a simple repair on a Nissan. I'd absolutely insist on FORD doing and certifying the repairs...and I'd push really hard on making them give you a trade-in offer after repair that is equivalent to one that they would...

GOOGLE: For a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning, it's generally recommended to charge the battery to 90% for daily use and up to 100% when you need the full range for a trip. Charging to 90% regularly helps prolong the battery's lifespan. It's also a good practice to plug in your Lightning whenever...

That begs a question (for me): Are we best to charge to 80-85% every night, or weekly when the ol batteries get down to 30% or so (home charging and local travel)? I started out recharging daily and now have slacked off to recharging from 11p-6a on Friday night/Sat Morning. I'm too lazy to...
  15. Toyo Open Country A/T EV tires released

    That’s nice! Good work, Sir!
  16. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

That makes sense. I keep thinking that San Diego would be the perfect climate for Lightning...n'er too hot...n'er too cold!
  17. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

Awesome. I’m curious about your experiences in the cold months (with the Lightning).

My last 3 F150's have been Lariat, so I've just gotten used to that trim level. But, I bought the last two (including the Lightning ER) as CPO, so that lessened the financial hit a little. It's interesting what we get accustomed to and then only miss when we drive something different.
  19. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

That's a common complaint from what I understand. I only have issues with my Frunk not working correctly, which was supposed to be fixed last week, but hasn't been. The Flash is a nice options package. It hits all of the needs and most of the wants, imo.
  20. Georgia 4 x OEM Grabber 275/60R20 tires from '23 Lariat ER - For Sale - $300 (OBO)

I have 4 tires off of my 23 Lariat ER that came with the CPO truck and 2 (from rear) measured 5 and 2 (from the front) measured 10, per the dealer. I replaced them with some new Toyo's for no good reason and these were great. They are taking up space overhead in my garage, so I'm willing to...
