  2. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

Agree completely! Thank you Ford for the choice.
  3. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

You can creep forward with 1P drive. It isn't hard and I do it at stop signs and red lights on right turns all the time. More efficient to not have to move your foot to break.
  4. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

Do you 2P drive with 2 feet??
  5. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

Not saying it doesn't use regen, but it doesn't ONLY use regen, so can't be as efficient as 1P drive.
  6. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

How is it people same it's the same regen. If I am using 1P the brake coach says 100% but if I use my brake pedal at all it comes down below 100%, but still in the 90s. Can't see how using brake pedal is the same efficiency. Once you get used to it, I can't see going back. Snow is coming, so...
  7. Real-World Home Power Backup Options Using F-150 Lightning

I honestly don't see the risk if people are just going to remove the bonded neutral from a generator to make the inlet box work. If I could make my truck a floating neutral, I would. I thought about the cable solution as well. And on your "special" cable you clipped your ground so it is...
  8. Real-World Home Power Backup Options Using F-150 Lightning

I was trying to implement Option E with a rotary switch to go from floating or bonded neutrals by disconnecting the ground when using bonded systems like the Lightning and then floating when using portable generator. Any issues with the functionality of this?
  9. What is your truck's nickname?

    Carman Electra
  10. First Time EV Owner - New Emporia Classic at 48A. Is this too hot?

Thanks. Can you share your ambient temp, how long you were charging, and if your cable was wrapped around something or stretched out?
  11. SR to ER battery swap DIY project

One just sold on eBay for $5,000. I've never checked the replacement cost, but that is still quite a bit of cash to drop on something we don't know will work! Ford Lightning Battery Pack 144kwh | eBay
  12. First Time EV Owner - New Emporia Classic at 48A. Is this too hot?

Anyone else checked temperatures? Would be curious what others are seeing.
  13. First Time EV Owner - New Emporia Classic at 48A. Is this too hot?

Would you mind measuring some temperatures on the breaker and the FCSP cable after about an hour of full power charging?

He agreed to THHN and then did it in Romex anyway??! Did you make it redo it?
  15. First Time EV Owner - New Emporia Classic at 48A. Is this too hot?

Yes through QMERIT. I took the day off work to make sure they did everything right. My first question to them was what wire they were using. He had me talk on the phone with their master electrician who tried to convince me Romex is fine and they do it all the time. They agreed to do MC cable...
  16. First Time EV Owner - New Emporia Classic at 48A. Is this too hot?

Good idea on setting the power down. I was really wanting to stress test it as it was just installed. I will likely be good with derating to 40A as well. Would love it if someone else could measure their temperatures after about an hour of full bore charging.
  17. First Time EV Owner - New Emporia Classic at 48A. Is this too hot?

Just got my Ford Promise charger installed (Emporia Classic hardwired for 48A). During install they told me they planned to install 6/2 romex and I told them they can't for full rating on 60A breaker so they agreed to switch to MC cable. I am doing a charge from 70% to 100% (road trip...
