  1. Someone upgraded a SR to an ER.

Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but during an Out of Specs Podcast Alex from WattWorks had a SR that he had just upgraded to an ER battery. Apparently it's plug and play. Here's the video (34:35 is when he starts talking about it.):
  2. Are there 3 batteries in the Lightning?

Thanks, everyone. I didn't think I was crazy but you never know.
  3. Are there 3 batteries in the Lightning?

Just got off the phone with the Ford team regarding my OTA updates. The guy on the phone said he saw a low voltage error on the 3rd battery in my Lightning... Since I had no clue what he was referring to, I asked him to give me some more info. He said all Ford EVs have 3 batteries: The HV...
  4. Fall Mess Check-In (3W Liners Mats Giveaway)

Just got my new to me 2022 Lightning Lariat. Replaced my Mach-E that had your liners! With 3 kids (One 6yo and Twin 3yo and all boys) a fully lined vehicle is a prerequisite! A-4 B-4 C-4 D-4
  5. Failed J2534 connection attempt when trying to use FDRS-post-9 Fixed

Turns out it was a blown fuse for the data link (OBDII) port. I'm using the Mongoose cable. Replaced the fuse and was off to the races.
  6. Only showing 0.6V from the ODBII port-post-4-fix

I wonder if it wasn't reading voltage off one of the other wires?
  7. Only showing 0.6V from the ODBII port-post-4-fix

This was it!!! I figured since there was any voltage that it wasn't a fuse. I was wrong. It's currently updating!
  8. Only showing 0.6V from the ODBII port-post-4-fix

While trying to diagnose why I can't seem to get FDRS to connect, I noticed in the logs that it's detecting 0.6V and triggering a low voltage error and cancelling the connection. Sure enough, I see 0.6V in the lower right corner of Forscan as well. This is with the truck on or off. Obviously...

  10. Failed J2534 connection attempt when trying to use FDRS-post-9 Fixed

I think the wireless dongle is because I had connected my OBDLink MX+ to that laptop at one point for Forscan. Of course, I don't see it listed anywhere as a wireless device, nor can I find how to remove it from the FDRS config. I think that is what's causing it, though. Just got FDRS...
  11. Failed J2534 connection attempt when trying to use FDRS-post-9 Fixed

Thanks. Now if only I knew how to release the license from FDRS. This is so irritating.
  12. Failed J2534 connection attempt when trying to use FDRS-post-9 Fixed

I've done all of that. Unfortunately, can't test the Mach-E, traded it in on the Lightning. My next thought was, well let's try a different PC. Next issue: can't release the license. I guess the main thing is to make sure that it's isolated to me and not FDRS 45.6.8 and the Mongoose Plus...
  13. Failed J2534 connection attempt when trying to use FDRS-post-9 Fixed

Trying to do updates via FDRS and my mongoose cable and I'm receiving a "Failed J2534 connection attempt" error. I have the mongoose cable and I've done this numerous times on my Mach-E. This is the first time trying on my Lightning. I had to install the new version of FDRS 45.6.8 so I could...
