I've used a cargo bag like this on the roof of my previous SUV but now that I have a truck I'd like to use it on top of my trifold tonneau cover for extra dry storage when taking family trips to the beach where we bring along a lot of things. I don't see any reason that it won't work but I am...
Just finished the install. Will test them later today. Here are my tips:
1. jack up on the rear axle and install jack stand. I did one side at at time.
2. remove rear wheel one side at a time (gives you way more room to work. it can certainly be done without removing the wheels but it's just...
I'd like to upgrade my rear shocks on my stock FX4. I'm using a 2020 F-150 search and not 2021 F-150 b/c a lot of places don't have something for the 2021 but I'm guessing they are the same shock in the rear. Seems like my choices are
- Fox 2.0
- Bilstein B8 5100 ( BIL-33-253190 ) 0"-1" lift...
I just got off the phone with my local Ford dealer and they quoted $35/per U-bolt for the 2 wheel drive ($140 total) and $8 for replacement nuts. If you have a 4x4 and want to ditch the longer bolts and use 2 wheel drive u bolts it's not a cheap mod. If you want to keep the longer 4x4 u bolts...

I tried this tonight. Got pretty far and realized my deep socket was not deep enough and had to put the blocks back in. Huuuge pain. Also realized my torque wrench maxes out at 80 ft lb.
Has anyone been able to get the PCM Relearn to work? I have version V2.3.43 of FORScan installed and I used the connector that's recommended. I keep getting the error message "service procedure interrupted". I was able to change my tire size and quite a few other things successfully. I'm not...
Its seems like you would but I've read on other forums where that wasn't the case so I don't know what to believe. I know that tire size/weight matter more but hopefully someone has leveled theirs on stock tires and had that setup long enough to note what the mpg difference is.
Has anyone put enough miles on their truck before and after installing a leveling kit to know how it affects mpg? I've already bumped up to 275/70/18 and took at least a 1 mpg hit and while I'd like to level it out I don't want to lose another mpg. I know there are all kinds of variable that...
Any idea why I am getting the message "service procedure interrupted" when I try the code for Lincoln mirrors? Same thing when I run PCM relearn. I was able to change my tire size using the coding method to correct my speedo and I also was able to disable the seatbelt chime and enable Bambi...
I like Cover All but it takes a lot of product to cover a 275/70/18 tire. Anyone using something that is cheap, is easy to apply and lasts a long time? I know some people hate tire shine but every now and then I like to use it.
