Yes, I should have added that the traction display is showing both motors working properly (even at 19%) and I have checked coolant levels. All modules have been updated via FDRS as of last weekend.
I do believe the power limit is related to the battery module replacement as I ran an FDRS...
Sadly, not just an oddity. I've had my power fluctuating all over the place since I had a battery module in my 10,000 mile 2022 Lariat ER replaced 6 weeks ago. It has dropped as low as 19% when I was trying to pass another vehicle. Not good.
Available power will be 100% immediately after...
I've been driving both the Mach E and the Lightning here in Fairbanks for multiple winters (Mach E x3, Lightning x2) and can answer 'yes' to both of your questions. I've submitted several threads about my experiences with the Lightning, including...
The key point here is your battery module swap. (Most of your replies are just describing the normal temperature limiting.) I got my truck back after a battery module swap and had to immediately schedule a return appointment. Here is the written description I supplied to the service...
Yes, the potential car thief won't be able to shift out of park, but my concern was them breaking the driver's window to get into the vehicle before they can discover that critical fact.
And don't forget to turn off the headlights and select the calm screen on the center display. It not only saves a tiny bit of battery energy, it makes it less conspicuous to any potential car thieves that there is a running vehicle ripe for easy pickings.
You hit on it when you mentioned the other OEMs. It would be business folly to allocate your entire production rate to a single OEM. If Tesla did, it would be years before owners of other model CCS EVs got their adapters. You can be certain their production rate is\will be much higher, but...
In reverse order of what you asked:
The only circuits greater than 30Amps that most typical houses might have are Air Conditioner, electric clothes dryer, electric range, and electric baseboard heaters. If you have gas dryer, gas range, and\or a gas furnace, there is no need for a 50A...
A lot of dealers are having difficulty finding and keeping good mechanics, esoecially EV trained mechanics. If you are short-staffed, and over-booked, who will you turn away first?
It's kind of surprising how many people only consider the time it takes to go from 20% to 80% as the "time it takes to charge". For me, the time to charge (or 'gas up' in an ICE) is the time from when I exit the highway to the time to re-enter the highway with my refuled vehicle. That includes...
FWIW. When my truck first had the Powertrain Malfunction \Reduced Power in late November, I cleared the error by clearing the DTC code using the OBD port and Forscan. Normal charging was restored and the truck drove fine for a month - with no issues. The same fault occurred at the end of...
I've had a full winter in Fairbanks with my Lightning Lariat ER running on AT tires. I drive it like a regular vehicle in terms of speed and interior heating (i.e. I don't take any special steps to maximize mileage). I keep the truck in a heated garage at home and outdoors at work. My typical...
Nice. A Three Peak tire option besides Blizzak. Hopefully, there will be sizes for all Lightning models. I haven't been thrilled with the Hankook OEM AT tires performance in ice and snow.
I've left my Mach E for 6 months, without driving. For three months the 12v battery was on a charger and for three months I didn't have the 12v on a charger. It started fine after 6 months. The big battery was ay 50% and not plugged in. The big battery only lost about 2%.
Here you go. I submitted this thread last year. The picture with -40 on the driver display screen was taken while driving past Eielson.

Our local utility installed a couple of 50kW DCFC in their parking lot. Certainly a painfully long charging experience, especially in a Lightning, but they charge quite a bit less than higher speed DC fast chargers. What is really annoying is when companies charge maximum rates for minimum speed.
You are the 4th or 5th Lightning here in Fairbanks. In a year plus, I've found winter efficiency to be between 1.2 and 1.3 mpk and the actual winter range loss to be about 40%. Range really doesn't drop much more below -20 as the battery and/or cabin heat are running at maximum most of the time...
