Ford needs to put more vibrant colors in the palette so we can stop arguing over which of the 50 shades of grayscale is the whitest or grayest or blackest. This is just sad at this point.
It's wild for me in the Midwest to see all the people that can or want to afford a $107k pickup. My whole ass house (which is a fairly nice all brick 3/2/2 in the suburbs on 1/3 acre) cost $143k in 2018 and felt like a huge accomplishment when I paid that off. I can't imagine paying almost what...
The banking thing doesn’t really work with little kids. With a toddler in the car on a trip I’m not cashing in any previous time savings. Driving with that kiddo is like the movie Speed. If I slow down and stop on a trip for too long it wakes up and explodes.
They forgot to add the “a $76k SR Lariat and up” after order. That’s why they expect to invite everyone because a significant portion of the list likely won’t find that appealing and will cancel.
Man I’m glad I grew up poor. Reading your stories about how people act over luxury goods, watches, and sneakers and crap really makes me scratch my head.
On this page:
https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/owner-resources/f-150-lightning/f-150-lightning-reservation-closure-and-order-information/
It specifically shows:
"If my preferred vehicle configuration is not available, can I hold my place in line for a later MY vehicle?
No, once invited...
I have a feeling all reservations will be called this year. If history is any indication, the XLT will only be offered in this wave. Starting wave 3 it will be Lariat SR and up. Noone after wave 3 will get price protection offers. They aren’t letting you extend your reservation when invited this...
Called the new car sales manager at my dealer and he was unable to select the PRO as well. His theory was that Ford put that there to entice people to call in for an upsell. He didn’t try to upsell me as he knew I was only interested in the PRO.
As the title states, Wave 2 invites have gone out and the PRO is unavailable. So they really did only accept orders from the folks who extended last year and clicked under Pro when they did it. Boo.
I also saw a related article that they had to put a stop order on fleet Pro ER the other day...
Are there any Ford Technicians on here that have access to repair diagrams showing the chillers and cooling loops on the base and max tow packages? Can't wait for Sandy to get his teardown videos up on the Lightning they received at the beginning of the month.
That’s the part that interests me. As someone with little use for the 240v in the bed, the max tow option becomes $2200 when you factor in the required 9.6kW Pro Power upgrade on the Pro and XLT SR trims. That’s a lot for an option that noone knows when it actually has an impact on the vehicle.
I really don't think that's the case. Here is the verbiage from the letter sent to dealers:
"F-150 LIGHTNING CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PRIVATE OFFER
The private offer amount is dependent on the 23MY F-150 Lightning configuration selected. See below for the incentive available for each...
Right. That was the point I was making when I replied to Pete.
And I believe you’re right that we’ll have to wait for more guidance from IRS as thing move along. I’ve yet to find a source with a definitive answer. Everything appears to be speculation at this point.
This is mildly terrifying.
I’m a deferred reservation due to order next week in wave 2. I’m stuck at a dealer that changed owners and was bought by one known to charge large deposits, adm, and play games.
I was planning on moving my reservation to another dealer this week just in case. Now I’m...
I appreciate your intent, but I think you’re the only one here who is talking about tax refunds. A “refundable credit” and a “non-refundable credit” are well defined terms. I don’t think any of us here were worried about a tax refund. We are discussing the new bills affect on obtaining the full...
