  1. F-150 Lightning FLASH Model Debuts with Heat Pump and Bigger Screen

Outside of heat pump, the range is the same. Ford isn't even claiming more range. But, if you live in a cold climate the heat pump is giving you mroe range. Ford's "A New Tech-Forward Model" Model, is the same as existing Lariat+ models, but it has a Heat Pump? Love that new tech that was...
  2. Cybertruck bed slopes at the sides

It just dawned on me that the truck bed is basically inaccessible via the sides. Only real path to move things in and out are the tailgate. Would definitely be a pain to load and tie things like a normal truck. I wonder if that sloping design is really providing a clear aero benefit in real...
  3. Farley & Ford Execs Traveling the American West in F-150 Lightning

People always come out of the woodworks and complain about the 1% use cases for the average person. Some car facts: "Data collected on one-way household trips show that the majority (59.4%) of vehicle trips were less than six miles. In fact, three-fourths of all trips are ten miles or less...
  4. Rear cross traffic alert without braking

Must of not hit the conditions. I've had the truck brake in me a few times and I find it overly aggressive. Twice I was in my driveway and slowly backing out and was nowhere near a car coming down the street and it braked as if I was close to them
  5. CARB Holding Hearing on ElectrifyAmerica Compliance with Partial Consent Decree

On one hand, without EA, none of us would consider a road trip. On the other hand, how is it getting worse? I'm planning the same Sacramento to LA trip I did last year for next month and looking at the route I took last year, I have next to zero confidence I'll be able to charge smoothly. Last...
  6. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

This happens. Not sure why it works for some but not others. Earlier in this thread there is discussion on having to make a change to IPMA before the CCM shows up. Basically it needs to power on before it can load. I Change this value in IPMA to power CCM on: 706-02-02 x**x xxxx xx--(04 to...
  7. What is "Exterior Temperature" supposed to be used for?

    Battery conditioning.
  8. FordPass 4.29.2 update (Performance & Bug Fixes) was 4.29.0

@Ford Motor Company Are we ever going to get a working Trip Planner in the App? It's never worked, it has some very aspirational charge times: The first session below assumes the charge will maintain a charge rate of 200Kw from 19-75%. Not sure how it's soo broken it doesn't fit any of...
  9. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Was thinking more low tech like: But wasn't sure if Ford had such a workaround or if it's even still a Tesla thing :)
  10. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

There's be a discussion on this before, so you can try to track down the previous thoughts. Ultimately, I think it's possible, but also why? The Lane Centering alone isn't worth much, and it's pretty annoying given that it really gives you like 5 seconds of light hand contact before it starts...
  11. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Unfortunately, you don't have the wires. In either location. I'm not even sure anyone's done it missing the Wires on the Drivers side. But, I didn't follow the no-wires people enough as If I didn't have wires, I wouldn't do it :)
  12. FordPass Trip Planner charging questions

I assume you mean the app. App is useless for actual trip planning, unless yours doesn't expect a great charge curve... 10-98 in 36 minutes would be great. It's an average of 160kw , while the reality for that duration is probably 80. @Ford Motor Company This has been a problem since...
  13. Miles / KWH

Kind of silly question. As slow as possible will give the best range. If you're road tripping and charging. Faster can be better. Or, they can cancel each other out. Going faster saves time while driving, but more charging. Going slower nets less charging, but your driving time is increased.
  14. DIY success: installing Pro Adaptive Cruise and Lane Centering (and frunk beeper)

@hturnerfamily Thanks! I missed this post and was about to take the plunge and was considering making a similar writeup. One thing I haven't fully done was fully verify the passenger wires. I think I see all of them but not 100% sure, is this picture clear enough to see them?
  15. F150 Lightning FORscan thread

Loaded up forscan for the first time to get familiar. Changed the blinker count as a test. I noticed a dtc for ipma, any one knows what it means? Truck having zero issues, also just came from 10k service on Friday where I am pretty sure they ran diagnostics. Code: B115E - Camera Module...
  16. 10k mile service/check up...

Just got my 10k service done at Folsom lake Ford. 30 bucks.
  17. Out of Spec Drives Silverado EV

$5K off for every 100 miles of range reduction. The $40K truck will have negative 250 miles of range :)
  18. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Hi any helpful forum go'ers: Can someone view my C265? connector and help me identify if I have the correct wires already? I believe I have them, but I am a bit colorblind, and going mainly on location. Image taken with connector still seated.
  19. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Thanks for all the info. everyone. I ordered a basic trim tool set, will verify I have the wires needed for my 22 XLT; if so, I'll buy parts and be another test subject. ACC is the only feature I wanted to make the car "complete". Taking it in for maintenance check before though; I've had air...
