Yes it will reduce efficiency but probably no worse than having the rack over the bed (which would have to be taller than the cab in order to accommodate a paddleboard).
Solaredge does make a backup interface that has (or will have) a generator input. No idea if it will have the same neutral and ground issues and if it will work with your specific inverter. https://knowledge-center.solaredge.com/sites/kc/files/se-backup-interface-datasheet-na.pdf
Can anyone who owns the leer 650 confirm where it's made? Getting conflicting info on whether it's China or USA. Will go with Bakflip mx4 if the Leer is Chinese made.
Thanks
Interesting. This is the opposite of what they told me last May (see below). I never went with Sol-Ark so didn't pursue it.
"Hi Ted,
Our generator input accepts any stand alone 240V split phase power source (2 hots legs). The fact that the neutral is bonded in the circuit at the truck is ok...
Wait...there has been a third price increase on the pro? Last straw for me if true. This would have been my first ford ever and I'm 64 years old. Will probably get an EV car (Bolt?, Kia EV6?) and a used ICE pickup instead.
Read an article (sorry don't remember where) that noticed in some of the EV RAM teasers there were a few images of a single cab version. They didn't speculate that Dodge would actually offer one but if they do I'd prefer to go that route (single cab, long bed). Makes much more sense for a...
Ummm...I don't see anywhere in that document where it says Ford is limiting pros. I see where it says configurations may change. Is that what you mean? That's a given with any product.
I'm personally ok with waiting for a pro and am not claiming bait and switch but I don't think Ford did a very...
What do you consider the "start"? I didn't see it in the reveal or any of their advertising until a LEAKED document showing what they were planning to build was posted on this forum. Maybe I missed it and would appreciate seeing Ford's statement.
It wasn't very clear but the wording seemed to be if you selected the pro they wouldn't send you an invite until MY24 when they became available again. There was no guarantee that they would make enough MY24 pro to satisfy everyone though. I could be wrong but others in the thread thought the...
Did you get the survey Ford sent out last Friday. Here is a thread about it https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/ford-sends-out-lightning-survey-email-help-us-plan-for-your-f-150-lightning-order.12074/
Did you get the survey from Ford a few days ago? If you did and stated you wanted a pro it seems like they will hold your reservation until they are available (probably MY24 or later). I might be wrong but this is how I understood it. Big question is what their price increases will be by then.
Jeez, I wonder what the price increase will be for the MY24 Pro. Looks like the only MY23 Pros will be for the few who extended their order or for fleet purchases.
Looks like Ford really does not want to sell the Pro. For those who haven't been able to order one now it looks like MY24 will be the earliest (as per the survey email I just filled out).
With the Sol-Ark you would have to use the 30amp outlet in the bed of the truck and plug it into the Sol-Ark's generator input. I did contact Sol-Ark about this and this was their reply "Our generator input accepts any stand alone 240V split phase power source (2 hots legs). The fact that the...
