Yup, 4x4 and 157" WB. At the time I was thinking 5.0+10speed means no real need for 3.73's as I don't do a ton of towing, and still have a GCWR of 14800bs. Reality is that my best bet is 295/70R18 but it's a wider tire and not great for snow. Plus I really don't want any poke. I could go 285/70...
Thanks for the reply. I have the 5.0 with 3.31 gears. In hindsight, wish I ordered the 3.73. Anyway, been thinking about going with a 285/75R18 on factory HDPP wheels. So far nobody can confirm if they will fit with a 2-2.5" level. Do you happen to have any insight on that combination?
Thanks for putting us in the loop! I'm leaning really hard towards going with this kit. It will be good to see some real world feedback. What size tires do you plan on running? Factory wheels or aftermarket?
Man that sucks! I don't think the dealer did anything wrong other than maybe not being knowledgeble. I believe the power boost weighs almost 1k pounds more and the max tow has higher capacity springs in the back. It's possible that the fox 2.0 coilovers weren't meant for it. I also think Fox is...
Well after some further consideration, going with a 295/70/18 is probably a better option all around anyway. For one thing, you can get an SL tire which is considerably lighter than an LT. That will help with the hit of MPG loss from a level. Also, I have the 3.31 rear end. I wish ford offered...
Thanks for the response! I was kinda hoping to avoid going to a wider tire because I like the tucked look. Plus a narrower tire does better in snow. But the options for a 285/70/18 a very limited and expensive. Where does a 295/70/18 put the tire in relation to the edge of the fenders?
Alright, so I've been driving myself a little crazy trying to figure out if I can fit a 285/75R18 on my 157" SCREW 4x4, XLT with the optional HDPP 18" wheels. I like them and for only $87 invoice, a deal! Now I haven't received the truck yet, even though it was shown as "built" back on Nov 22nd...
Truck is being delivered in the next week or two and I can't wait! I've been looking high and low as well. Pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger on the FAS-TOP TRV package. Best of both worlds and looks slick with great reviews.
Interestingly enough, the stage 1 and stage 2 kits for the 21's have disappeared as options on Eibach's product selector. Yet they still have the kits listed on their product release page. I wonder what's going on?
I'm looking at installing Eibach's Pro-Truck Coilover Stage 2 kit to achieve a 2-3" lift/level. While I'm certain that 275/70R18's will fit with the stock wheels, it's not clear to me if 285/75R18'S will and that's really what I want to go with. Tire poke isn't really my thing, so that's why I'm...
So I've done a little more digging into the Eibach Pro Truck Lift Kits and what I didn't notice before is that they also offer a Pro-Alignment kit. It includes camber plates and nuts to bring things back to factory specs after the coilover install. That gives me more of a warm and fuzzy that the...
I also have a similar truck on order. But only with the trailer tow package, not max tow.
@Doyouevenboost: What leveling kit/air bag setup did you go with?
@ryanc111: How does she ride unloaded with the RAS system? I like the idea of it over air bags, likely to have better longevity and no...
I too have been searching hi and low for a coilover leveling kit that has been engineered specifically for the 14th Gen F-150 and accounts for the slight changes in geometry. The Eibach kit looks legit, but beware that if you google the P/N, several vendors list it as fitting 15-20 or 15-22...
