Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but has it been confirmed if Ford's range estimates were in a loaded or unloaded state? It was said in some places it was with 1000lb payload but that seems a stretch to me.
The 40k truck won't have 400 mile range, but it will be upgradeable which is what Ford didn't do with the Lightning. At what cost that upgrade comes remains to be seen, but at least the possibility remains.
I have my reservation in for one also. Really like the battery upgrade possibility on the WT version, something Ford really messed up on IMO. Love the way the dash on Silverado is done, and the overall styling. Keeping my Lightning reservation also, but as I was late to the party there it will...
As far as the ICE I'm definitely considering that. In regards to Tesla I'm not interested in a car, and the Cybertruck, if/when finally built is to me bufugly.
Had intended to get an ER xlt until the 19k middle finger from Ford. Now will wait on a pro model, AND watch the GM unveiling Wednesday with interest. I'm not paying what I consider ridiculous money for a truck to do what a vehicle is supposed to do, get me from A to B and back again. As has...
What you call supply and demand I call bait and switch. A base price is advertised and these people are demanding at least another 25% up front to even place an order. In addition to contacting Larry Farley, I would contact the TV stations local to these dealers. Nearly every one has a consumer...
If they had originally stated they were no markup or adm I'd tell them where to stick it. Find a dealer that isn't a thief and switch, I don't give a damn what the times are right now.
Thanks for the replies, this would be a rare scenario but we did have an instance where it was cold, we were down to a quarter tank of fuel and 10 miles from home. A semi with a load of steel overturned not far ahead, and before you knew it we were sitting for 3.5 hours. My work commute is only...
Wife is on board with getting a Lightning but brought up a question that current owners could answer better than I. I live in Indiana so it can get cold during winter, what if you are stuck in traffic with no ability to get out, charge is low and it's close to zero out? In an ICE you can get gas...
