  1. towing with the F-150 Platinum 5.0 engine.......

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. The 5.0 needs to rev to make horsepower. Remember it was designed as a mustang engine then changed a bit for the F150 application. So yes in some ways you did actually buy a mustang. We tow a boat about the same weight, if not a bit heavier, with our...
  2. Lightning Order Placed -- Change Color?

This is like a multiple choice test in school, your first choice is usually the correct choice. Don't second guess yourself. Stick /w the Blue.
  3. 2022 MISSING FEATURES: Ambient Lighting & Differences In DEATC between 2021 and 2022 F-150s?

Thanks, that sucks for those who didnt catch that change. I use the LED lighting in my 2015 more than I thought I would. Glad I optioned the power tailgate on my 2022 build and thus lucked into keeping the LED lights.
  4. 2022 MISSING FEATURES: Ambient Lighting & Differences In DEATC between 2021 and 2022 F-150s?

Just stopped to look at a 502a Lariat that just showed up at my local dealer. About as bare bones as 502a can be. I noticed no LED bed lighting. In the 2021s LED bed lighting was standard I thought on Lariat. Did they drop it out of the standard packages and require the bed utility package in 2022?
  5. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

Question on adding the transmission temp to the 12in display. Is it possible to add the trans temp but not add the engine temp? I have my 2015 setup this way, but in the 2021+ programming spreadsheet I only saw a line item to add both. Thanks!
  6. OEM Hankook AT2's

How many miles are you guys getting out of the OEM Hankook AT2's? Just curious, I don't love the tires but also dont want to just take them off as soon as I get the truck so curious how long I will need to "put up with them"
  7. 2022 Lariat PowerBoost: Tow Tech (17T) vs Trailer Tow (53A)

I honestly don't understand why Ford has to make this so difficult. I guess it's a double edge sword. I love that you can option the truck so many different ways, but a side affect of that is that is some overlap between packages. I don't feel quite as bad I ordered a 701a truck with a 3.5...
  8. PowerBoost GVWR Question

Well if nothing else your reply validated that I am not losing my mind. I am sure we have been over GVWR on our current truck w/ the boat hooked up, just depends on how much beer we have in the cooler and gas in the boat. I dont like the idea of busting through GVWR on a regular basis, but Ford...
  9. PowerBoost GVWR Question

I had posted this up on another Ford forum, but didnt really get an answer so thought maybe here would be a good place. Perhaps I am thinking too much into this, but given the importance that some put on the number on the yellow sticker I thought it could be an interesting conversation. So the...
  10. 2021+ Hitch Height

Does anyone know if the height of the receiver hitch is the same on the 2021+ as the previous gen trucks? A 2.5in drop works great for our boat now, just curious if I will need more or less of a drop on the new truck. Actually hoping its different as I am trying really hard to justify a B&W...
  11. Is there any reason NOT to get the Max Tow package?

The only thing that really concerns me about max tow is the more traditional spring pack. The new 1+1 setup rides so nice, and the Max Tow springs are much firmer. I would love the updated ride but I guess I am old, I just couldn't get comfortable /w the idea of towing /w a single spring and...
  12. Is there any reason NOT to get the Max Tow package?

I went back and forth on this a lot. The new Single leaf / single overload spring in the new non-max tow trucks really makes the decision difficult. In previous generations it was a no brainer as the rear suspension rode the same. The new single leaf setup really really rides nice. We drove a...
