Thank you for sharing. Just scheduled an appointment for this weekend to get this fixed. Been bothering me since i got the truck last year and its the single issue i've had. So will be nice to have it resolved!
With my truck at the rail yard waiting for a car hauler to take it to the dealer, my dealership let me come in and do all the financing and things today. They told me they only got 3 lightnings this year... A mannequin pro, my lariat, and the owner of the companies platinum. Owner said he is...
Excited for you! I find it interesting yours shipped to the Miami area 4 days before mine shipped to the space coast. wouldve thought theyd be on the same train! maybe they were and mine will be here soon :)
I would think if 6/14 production dates are built, its safe to assume my 6/13 production is also built and i just havent received an email yet? cant imagine they would roll a truck through the line and just hop over my truck stuck on the line somewhere.
Looks like a blue sticker which means big penalties is the dealer sells it early. The markup is just to cover those penalties should someone really want it.
perhaps. but the people who are avid savers or have been driving a 1990 corolla arent likely to be the type to splurge on an $80k EV. The large majority of people buying a truck or any vehicle at this price are going to have the tax liability for the credit, or the knowledge of how to manipulate...
Fwiw I got my quote from my electrician today to upgrade from 150A to 400A service and it's only 3500 and will be done as soon as they get a 400A main in. So might be worth looking into if you haven't gotten a quote already. If your 20k number is from a quote, then that's rough and I am sorry.
anyone buying an 80k+ truck shouldnt have any trouble qualifying for the 7500 credit.
Also, he didnt acquire the vehicle for resale. It was for use, didnt fit his use case at the moment, and he sold it. I'd claim the credit still personally, and just hold on to it in the off chance of an audit...
genuinely surprised that this only sold for 100.5k. Considering rivians are going for 110 ish right now, I wouldve expected the first lightning to go much higher.
I work at GM and we are having an employee car show on July 20th. Would love for my truck to be here by then to show it off. Lets get moving 5/23 week! Quit holding up the line :)
If you are using the Lightning as the example, you wont be paying anything for service for years cause of the the warranty and just the general lack of maintenance needed on EVs, and nothing for gas obviously. So that leaves you with "Ford purchases" and 1% in general. Overall not a great deal.
not just different size batteries, but the lightning uses different cooling since the truck is designed to tow and have higher heat tolerances. So this may very well be a non-issue since it seems to be overheating related.
