  1. Jim Farley talks about switch to NACS

Thanks for the comment, I'm disappointed in the price also but I don't agree with the the summary of Ford's prices going up while Tesla's have gone down, let me explain. Ford, GM and Tesla all promised a $40,000 electric truck 3-4 years ago, and none of them were able to deliver that. We all...
  2. 2023 F-150 Lightning XLT Yearlong Review: Road-Trip Range Strategies & Optimal Speed

With the Lightning's relatively flat charging curve up to 80%, it would be better to charge up to that, rather than multiple short stops which can be a better strategy with some other EVs.
  3. Charging question.

I haven't done a full review of thier products yet, but I have seen and used them. I from my limited experience I'd say they are average to slightly below average as far as build quality.
  4. New EV podcast "Batteries Incuded" starting in August, w/ Domeninc Yoney, Tom Moloughney, & Kyle Conner

Hey guys. That's correct, we are starting our own podcast - Batteries Included. We'll be streaming live at the same time as we always have - 9:30 Eastern every Friday. We'll also be doing mid-week shows with interviews and other new series. We'll be officially launching on the first Friday of...
  5. All-Season tires vs All-Terrain tires comparison on F-150 Lightning

Hello everyone. I just posted my tire review video in which I compared the Lightning's stock General Grabber all-season tires to BFGoodrich K02 all-terrain tires to demonstrate the potential range loss when the tires have a more aggressive tread.
  6. Emporia Charger, 48 amp

Have you seen my Emporia review yet? I have lots of EV charger reviews on my YouTube channel, State Of Charge. I also rated the Emporia my top 48-amp pick for 2023:
  7. Albany NY area f150 Lightning Club

This is actually happening on June 17th, not July 17th.
  8. Northeast Lightning Club

I'm looking forward to this. It's gonna be a fun day!
  9. Mobile Charger For Lightning

I don't know which one you're referring to, but I've seen pictures of two different models that failed prematurely. Honestly, I've been reviewing EV charging equipment for over a decade now and Mustart is a low-cost, low-quality garbage brand. They lie (cleverly) about safety certification...
  10. Mobile Charger For Lightning

A Lot of them were the plug, but I saw a few that burned out inside the unit.
  11. Mobile Charger For Lightning

They should be called MustMelt. Please be careful with that unit. I have had dozens of followers tell me the Mustart failed and melted after about a year of continued use. They are very low quality and not safety certified. Just be careful.
  12. Failed attempt at using Tesla DCFC

I haven't heard of anyone with a Lightning having issues. I also haven't been to one since that first day when I made the video.
  13. Ford Intelligent Backup - detailed review by State of Charge

Yeah, I just reached out to Ford. WHile it was supposed to be ready by the end of January, it's not quite ready yet. Should be soon, but not yet. I will post here as soon as I hear anything.
  14. Ford Intelligent Backup - detailed review by State of Charge

While most of the literature says 40-amps, I think the actual max output from the HIS inverter is 37.5-amps. Sorry to hear about Sunrun not showing.
  15. Ford Intelligent Backup - detailed review by State of Charge

Yes, I believe they are working on that. Eventually, it will be. I just don't know if the existing MMEs will have the capability or just the new ones.
