  1. Owners - Do you drive in one pedal mode or traditional ?

I think we have similar driving styles and, like most people, I think my way is the one true "right" way. In my Polestar I use adaptive cruise control to maintain my speed and adjust my speed to match traffic, the accelerator when I want to accelerate more than ACC will and the brake pedal when...
  2. Spreadsheet of 2022 Lightning options - Updated 2/11/22 - useful for comparing costs/values of trims and options

Sorry, I sort of stopped updating it after all the MY22 trucks sold (also, I leased a Polestar 2, so I'm now spending less time obsessing over the Lightning). The only thing I can think of that I would update is the price of the Max Tow Package. I guess I prolly should update it, I'll try to...
  3. Max tow package on Lightning - how much can I tow without it?

I could imagine the additional cooling could come into play when you are doing a lot of braking while towing (eg. going down a big hill). I'm just speculating here though, based on very little towing experience and zero EV experience. (braking = regen = heating)
  4. Add on trailer brake controller - possible for Lightning?

On page 33 of the "eSourceBook" from 1/26/22 it says that the trailer brake controller is, indeed, included with the Max Tow Package. I'd link to the PDF, but Ford apparently requested that it be taken down.
  5. Spreadsheet of 2022 Lightning options - Updated 2/11/22 - useful for comparing costs/values of trims and options

Those are what is supposed to be in the sheet, is it giving you something else? edit: you can even see those numbers in the screenshot in post 18. The best answer to this question that I've seen is at the end of the video linked below. To quote the person in the video: "it doubles the amount...
  6. Spreadsheet of 2022 Lightning options - Updated 2/11/22 - useful for comparing costs/values of trims and options

I've updated the file again to make it a bit more accurate and include a few more options. Honestly, the numbers you get from this new version probably won't change much from the last one. BUT, if you haven't gone through it yet, this is likely the most accurate yet. The file was uploaded to...
  7. XLT vs Lariat Lighting X range

I think that's a good list and those features would definitely be worth $3000 to me. If you haven't seen it already, I made a spreadsheet that lets you assign 'values' to all the options/differences (that I could find) between the available trims. It'll let you get a pretty exact figure for how...
  8. Spreadsheet of 2022 Lightning options - Updated 2/11/22 - useful for comparing costs/values of trims and options

That's a bug... a sloppy one at that. Thanks for catching it! v1.3 uploaded to the top post. In addition to the bug above being fixed, borders were also added around the Tow Technology Package cells For anyone going from v1.21 to 1.3: the only functional difference between v1.21 and 1.3 is the...
  9. Spreadsheet of 2022 Lightning options - Updated 2/11/22 - useful for comparing costs/values of trims and options

I updated the file again (available for download in post #1). This update doesn't change much, but it addresses an odd thing I noticed about the Lariat (non-ER) trim... The online configurator doesn't seem to allow you to have the "Tow Technology Package" and "phone as a key" equipped at the...
  10. Spreadsheet of 2022 Lightning options - Updated 2/11/22 - useful for comparing costs/values of trims and options

I think it would be great to make a Canadian version of the spreadsheet, but I'm not sure if I'm up to the task of figuring out what is different between the US and Canadian versions. Are they basically identical other than the Pro is officially unavailable (as opposed to being virtually...
  11. Magic letter

It's true! There have been two "waves" of invite emails sent. The first wave was seemingly quite small (~2000 trucks, maybe). I'm not sure how many people were invited in the second wave. The next wave will likely be in the first few days of February. Here's a couple threads that might be worth...
  12. Spreadsheet of 2022 Lightning options - Updated 2/11/22 - useful for comparing costs/values of trims and options

Thanks again for the positive feedback! I've updated the top post with a new file, v1.01. All the suggestions in the thread were added/addressed along with a few other things. Edit - Oops, I found some issues that I'm fixing "real quick", file will be updated to 1.01 and uploaded ASAP ... Done...
  13. Spreadsheet of 2022 Lightning options - Updated 2/11/22 - useful for comparing costs/values of trims and options

Thanks for all the ideas! I'll probably put in all the suggestions (along with a couple I noticed) late tonight or tomorrow morning. The biggest thing I noticed on my own is I basically have two rows for "driver's seat memory", so one of those will be deleted. I tried to make the number in...
  14. Spreadsheet of 2022 Lightning options - Updated 2/11/22 - useful for comparing costs/values of trims and options

Howdy y'all, I'm new here - this is my fist post. I have a Lightning reservation (put in ~6 hours after the presentation, I think) and have learned a lot from reading this forum. Thanks! I was having trouble keeping track of what options each trim level of Lightning comes with or allows to be...
