you know that may be exactly it. I think i ended up with using a lariat HVAC code block on my pro (as i needed to get the cooled seats working) the nail in the coffin would be to check or get a XLT with HSW vin and pull the as builts for that and see what is in there. I can try and check mine in...
First sanity check, you do have heated wheel and SCCM that supports heated wheel right? 9and the necessary wiring of course?
then just going to repost some of my notes, key things is it touches 3 modules APIM (this is to reveal the buttom), IPC ( instrument panel cluster not positive why...
it is super annoying I did shoot a short clip of it let me see if I can find it.
basically there are several clips underneath that rubber boot if i recall correctly i was able to soft of pop it out by hand once i figured out how it worked. kinda push on the middle with the thumb toward the...
AWESOME welcome to the "PRO-LETARIAT" life (what i have taken to calling well the modified pro trim with many of the lariat features) pro to lariat--PROLETARIAT whatever ill see myself out
in any case great work, its definitely satisfying and oddly not as hard as it seems. great appreciation to...
so i tapped it in the glove box cavity about a inch from C212
found a short clip i shot i intended to document better but hey it should help a little here
dont forget that needs to be a twisted pair of wires about a twist per inch should be fine, its not rocket surgery but you should have...
was exactly the path i took, let us know how it goes! definitely feels a little daunting but honestly not really bad to do, no crazy major disassembly mostly big stuff
i cheated and went to a non-official ground point there is i think the airbag module? small ish box under the center console i grounded to it or its mount points confirming solid ground via multimeter (continuity between that and a known ground from existing seat harness). really you just want...
it will depend on your door harness, but really simple.
I had already upgraded my door harnesses for the remote entry (on a pro with tow tech) to the i believe XLT version of keyless entry (not lariat) so i was quite close
but you need the power fold mirrors the door control switch, and or...
interesting, mine i have set so it can come on with remote start/precondition based on outside temp. but i still have full control to turn it on or off via the synch screen.
and yes you are forced into the UI change but you get used to it. I have seen some reports of a guy getting a ICE module...
Just wanted to clarify here too, you can have HSW on a pro with control via the 12" display without needing a new HVAC module but bear in mind it impacts the appearance of your menu/UI
source: I have HC seats, and HSW running off of stock pro HVAC controlled via synch UI
can you also share out of curiosity the ICE hvac partnum that you ordered?
im partly curious if the one i had was problematic being a older model with the digital dials.
its indeed annoying and most places don't list online. i happened to oddly get mine shipped from a online place and was happy with the experience overall though i did have to go to freight dock to pick them up
i have still been trying to locate a folding center armrest which is also a massive pain
I can share the stock BEV module files if it helps, do you have a paid version of forscan? i can probably also help with a link to a version of that too if you want to try it.
yeah me either if you want to muck around with flashing firmware you could maybe try that but it was a bit of jumping thru hoops to get a version of forscan that supported flashing the BEV hvac module.
I'm like 80% sure the hardware is the same and its just different firmware but its just out...
yeah I'm betting its the same boat of that module has ICE firmware on it which will not interface properly with the lightnings "heating & cooling" for lack of better term.
Your hvac module is newer though, its possible you may be able to flash over the lightning firmware I was unable to do this...
