I recently lifted the front with a 2.0" ReadyLIFT leveling kit, and replaced the OEM tires with 265/65/20 Falken Rubitrek tires. Love the change in the look and feel of the truck. (My mile/kWh average has dropped from 2.2 to 1.8 as a result, but I'd make that tradeoff all day long for the change in look and feel.)

But, I've realized an unexpected benefit over the past couple of weeks. I no longer bang to top of my head on the latch on the top of the frunk when I'm reaching into it to place or remove something. I'm 6'0", and was frustrated by the position of this latch -- it seemed to be overly long and hang down quite low. I looked a couple different times to see if I could raise the default fully open position of the hood even higher -- but couldn't.

And now, I love it -- no clearance issues when reaching in!

Kind of silly, I realize, but it really does improve my ownership experience in a small but meaningful way.

Any side pics of the truck with the lift?

I am 6' as well and have not had an issue with the height of the frunk latch. Are you sure the frunk was programed to raise to the maximum open position?

Thanks -- yes, I did ensure that the frunk was programmed to be at the highest setting when open, but the top of my head would still hit the latch when leaning in or reaching out with a load.

Here's a shot at the shop after getting the lift and tires installed.

That looks good. Are you sure about the tire size? I don't think the Rubitrek comes in a 265/65R20. The LT275/65R20 maybe? How is the ride with the LT?

You're absolutely right -- typo on my end. They are LT275/65/20s. I really like the ride and feel of the tires. They balanced up well, roll smoothly and straight, with a nice confident feel on the road. I hear some slight road noise from the tires over the OEM tires, but hardly noticeable. The 65 size fills out the wheel well a bit more too, which I prefer.

And, have experienced zero issues (so far) with adaptive cruise or BlueCruise with the addition of the leveling kit.

I haven’t hit the latch, but the front corner hanging part of the grille bites HARD

I had the 4 Wheel Parts store near me order the Rubitreks. They installed the leveling kit, the tires, and then did an alignment. They did an excellent job. Just had them rotated by 4 Wheel Parts a couple weeks ago, after 5,000 miles. They are wearing straight, with no vibration in the steering wheel and no drift on the road. I'm very happy with them so far. My overall mileage did take a hit from 2.2 miles/kWh to 1.8, though.
