2022 Lightning Running Boards/Side Step

I nicked my driver side running board with my snowblower and dealer said need to replace whole side at $715. However, when you look at where the nick took place its at the back end where it looks like a separate part just needs replacing not the entire step? Can anyone confirm if I can just replace the one end part (where the light is) vs. entire running board? See pics. Thanks.

I was told by my parts department these are the two I need but they cant get them after almost 2 months of waiting. Tried some of the online parts sellers with similar results
