Katzkin Leather installed in 2021 F-150 (photos)

I installed Katzkin im my last truck myself. Seat removal was the easy part. Covers are very tight and lack of proper tools/experience made it extremely frustrating. Looked great when done though. For those of you who did perforated inserts, how comfortable is that? I want leather because cloth is uncomfortable, this seems counter productive.

Perhaps the higher price was due to your area or State.
I hope the install worked out well for you and you’re happy with the results.

I’m going black interior, so without actually seeing the seats or the factory interior at this time ...... for any of you with the black interior and/or Katzkin leather, is black leather the best color match or something else?
Also, what are the opinions of you fine folks between basic black with white/gray stitching or the options below?

I actually work across the street from katzkin. I got the lariat so I don’t have to worry about having leather seats but if I would have gotten the xlt , I would have walked across and had them made me custom colored seat covers. You can actually call them and have them make the seats per your request. They’ll even stitch logos or mascots to head rest if requested.

Had my dealer install Katzkins a few days after I took delivery- they use an authorized Katzkin installer in the area as their vendor and charged me the same price as they were going to charge directly so I was happy to have them help facilitate. They look and feel great- super pleased so far. I really like brown leather / tan interiors since it opens the space up more but was too afraid they wouldn’t work with my all black XLT sport interior so I went with the black with stone (gray) stitch. It matches all of the factory fake leather stuff with the gray stitching on the center console and door panels pretty darn well so it really gives it a nice factory look which I like.

I am hoping they still look great- from everything I have read on all of the forums (especially on the 2015-2020 threads where people are showing them off) everybody speaks highly of the durability and longevity, so fingers crossed. The cloth seats in the 302a sport were really really nice for cloth seats but i had my heart set on leather- hoping i dont have any regrets.

I believe they will work as long as you get the perforated option.

Got my 2021 F150 XLT a couple weeks ago and within the first 5 days I drove 3 hours to get Katzkin leather seats installed. I will say that the cloth seats in the XLTs are the comfiest cloth seats I’ve ever sat on so it was a bit sad that they had to go... but I will say I’m super impressed with the quality and “stock” look to the seats. Not bad for $1680 CAD installed!

Test drove a preowned 2021 XLT with Katzkin cooled seats yesterday. They put the switch on the side of the seat next to the other controls. The cooling function was 1000% cooler than ventilated seats that I had on my old 2019 Silverado. Didn't even know that was an option until I looked it up. If I decide to go the route of Katzkin, getting the cooled option is a must in FL.

I got a quote last week for a seat install, they quoted me $1595 for an “OEM match” and $1895 I think for something more custom.

Does anyone know what the “OEM match” option on an F-150 would entail exactly? Is it at least perforated inserts like OEM? What color the stitching would be? I responded back to their email with the price asking this and never got a response.

Very nice guys, I am looking at buying 2021 XLT FX4 302A pkg. and adding the Katzkin. I just cannot justify the Lariat price for my needs. Any concerns or likes. TIA

That is definitely the way to go. The lariat is such a huge jump in price when the only real noticeable upgrade(for myself at least) is the leather interior.
I know there’s quite a few more technical differences but nothing that would interest me at all
