I know this has been asked alot on the tundra/taco sites but I don't quite know how to articulate the questions so I will try.

I have ordered a stage 1 6112kit with 5100 rears for my 2021. Looking to run a slightly taller tire size and just have a better stance overall. I do tow a bassboat a couple times per week. I believe I will run at the 2nd to top setting and just fit the tallest tire I can while leaving some rake in the truck for towing (maybe a taller block in the back if I squat more than I think I will).

As far as ride "quality" it the terms of "plush" vs "feeling every crack in the road". Would/could/should you run the 6112 on the stock setting with a top hat spacer vs running it pre-loaded. Meaning, I understand preloaded 6112 are way better than top hat spacer on stock but would preloaded 6112 also be better than top hat spacer on 6112-at-stock-height? I hope that makes sense, I just want to understand the "science" not necessarily get into bro-science. droop and off-roading notwithstanding, this is a mall crawler that tows a boat

Did you ever figure this out? I have a set of bilstein 5100s I'm installing this weekend and I'm in the same boat.

no I just ran preload as built on the 6112 and its fantastic. 5100 in the rear makes the truck right. not sure about 5100 up front

So would that be the 2inch lift setting? Have any pics by any chance? Appreciate the help!

I'm running mine on the top notch. Each notch is about 1/4" of lift (preload). As far as the ride goes, that usually depends on your tire choice after installing the new struts. But, you can bet its 1000 times better than stock.
I was going to add a spacer lift and reduce the notch settings on the struts to try and achieve a perfectly level stance.

Nice! I still see a tad of rake left which is perfect for what I want! I'm going to run the highest setting as well. Appreciate the feedback.
