OEM Power Running Boards - Can you set them to stay deployed?

If you have the OEM Power Running Boards - is there a setting where you can make them stay deployed/stay retracted or will they always be active? And what triggers them to deploy or retract - turn off the ignition, door open, etc. Thanks!

I had them on my 2018 and now on my 2023 Lightning and no, they will not stay deployed. You can open them in the settings for a slow drive through a car wash or while still but they will close if you drive over say 5-10 mph. The only workaround may be to open them, then pull the fuse but that may have other implications. They stick out further and down lower than the fixed boards so they should be up out of the way while driving.
