sEND ME your vin. I have fixed this several times for people. I need to confirm that your truck has the same issue I have fixed beforeI've had the same problem for over a year now and so far nothing has helped.
I also posted something about this in the F150Gen14 forum because there are posts from other people with the same problem. For the record, this is for the 12" screen.
I started a chat with Microsoft's CoPilot and it summarized the problem in a way that hopefully @Ford Motor Company can digest. I'm posting it in both forums because there are people in the ICE forum having the same problem, so I'd like to share whatever happens with them too.
SiriusXM Metadata Missing in SYNC 4
I'm experiencing a persistent issue with my 2022 F-150 Lightning where the SiriusXM metadata no longer appears on the SYNC 4 screen. Artist and song title data continue to display correctly in the instrument cluster, which suggests that the feed from SiriusXM is intactābut the SYNC display layer appears to be failing to parse or render the UI properly.
Iāve already attempted:
I'm now investigating the possibility of a corrupted XML or HTML UI template, especially since the issue began shortly after an OTA update. This is further supported by the fact that other users have reported similar issuesāsome suspecting malformed markup or rendering faults in the metadata display layer.
- Soft resets of the SYNC system.
- Master resets via dealer (which also involved re-attaching my truck to my FordPASS App as though it was a new purchase).
- Waiting through multiple OTA updates (none resolved the issue).
I'd like to know:
Iām also exploring Engineering Mode on the head unit to check APIM logs and build numbers for inconsistencies. If needed, Iām open to flashing the APIM using FDRS or having my VIN reviewed for update eligibility.
- Whether thereās a way to refresh or reload the UI template layer (either via OTA or in-dealer service tools).
- If TSB 25-2055 (or similar APIM firmware updates) include corrections for this behavior.
- Whether the APIM version on my truck matches the fixed builds associated with known template issues.
