I’m looking into swapping my 20” STX rims for a set of Fuel Rage rims that are 20x9 +1 offset. Tires will be KO2s size 275/60R20. With the amount of poke this setup will have will the sides of my truck get rock chips, scratches, etc?

In short, yes.

You may consider getting flaps that with a variable offset (Gatorbacks), or look into the attachable wheel well flares (You can get them paint matched). Additionally, ppf or ceramic coating may help.

Depends on how much you really care about little scratches, and how often you will treat / fill / correct them.

I don't do much off-roading and I've got 1-2 scratches from rocks. (I have the gator backs and ceramic)

In the end, it's your truck.

It will also throw rocks at the rest of us. Please don't.

I wanted to put wider tires on mine but my tire guy brought up a good point...

“Wider tires are going to splatter mud all over your mirror cameras”.

…something to think about if you have the 360 degree cams.

YOUR GLOVE BOX LIGHT IS ON
Dont forget about those fancy mirrors. The rocks that clear the paint usually land right under the mirrior and mess up those cute little leds. And the cameras as stated above.

a +20 would tuck them in more.

I think I'm going to go that route. After looking at pictures of other trucks I think the poke of a +1 offset will be a bit too aggressive for my use
