F1’s new 2026 power unit design specs place increased focus on battery /energy recovery; storage-duty cycling. Ford’s involvement in F1 with Red Bull makes more sense considering F1 hybrid technology challenges and greater focus on battery chemistry, duty cycling, & energy recovery.
