I've tried searching the forum and asking AI what the following circled connector does, but found no answer. I've had a problem with my frunk hood not closing and not even sounding a warning alarm when either the cab dash, frunk hood, or FordPass frunk open/close buttons were pressed.

Today, in an uncontrolled experiment, I tried rattling the frunk lift struts and wiggled the wiring connector circled in the picture below, felt it a bit loose, and appeared to seat it with a push and a click. After that, my frunk closed normally. Interesting that there is a (broken) frunk clip connector plug in the top of the plastic that holds the receptacle plug for the loose connector. Perhaps either my long, rough 3400-mile road trip or continually removing and replacing my right frunk cover to trickle charge my 12V battery has more to do with my frunk hood closing problems than the Sync-25.2.1.6.5 update, which I initially blamed for my frunk problems. (I rattle the right frunk cover to get it to pop of the connector lock slots every time I remove it).

Looks like the replies to this post were lost because of the 7/23/25 forum restore date. Several other members said that the circled connector is involved with providing AC power to the frunk outlets. I subsequently confessed to jumping to conclusions and confounding correlation with causation. Whatever caused my frunk closing to start working again has held up since 7/23. I've opened and closed it at least half a dozen times with no problem. It used to be that if I left my frunk open from one day to the next, I had to manually close it and get it to self-latch to get electronic closure working again. So far, I've been able to get my frunk to close by button push since it started working again even after it's sat open for many hours.
