Looks very nice! Did you post pics of the rear light bar tinted or wrapped as you mentioned? Also wondering why you didn't black out the side yellow markers if you went for the full murdered out look?
I didnt do the rear lightbar as I like the red. My veteran license plate has red from the flag, so between that and the blue it all ties together well.
If you mean the yellow side markers

If you are asking about the yellow turn indicators/side markers, it is illegal to tint those (or alter them in any way- color, decreased visibility, etc).

Thought I’d share my experience since I didn’t do my homework and found this thread afterwards.

I purchased the smoked Lamin-X for the light bar and carried it to a local tint/PPF shop and they reached out later saying ā€œWe don’t think this will pass the 5’ rule,ā€ and shared some pictures.

They removed the film and didn’t charge me anything for their time even though I offered. Their recommendation is to have it painted. Said they charge $600 for removal/reinstall and have a nearby body shop they pay to do the paint. Mentioned they’ve done multiple sets of taillights this way. I’m not a fan of the paint option though due to what it’ll likely look like when illuminated.

Lamin-X emailed asking for a review and I shared one with the pics. I received an email saying they’d follow up with me and at this time it appears they’ve removed the product from their website.

I found the Midnight Luxe film mentioned in this thread and will order some once I find a shop willing to install it. I discussed some options with another PPF shop today. They want to do a precut Xpel smoked PPF and stated they wouldn’t install the vinyl as they (Edit: Don't do viny wrap, outsource it). They pointed me towards that shop if I want to go the Luxe route.

Luxe light film isnt vinyl wrap.

The only difference between the Luxe and what the shop wants to sell you is the brand and the darkness. Midnight is much darker than smoke.

So the Luxe you purchased is thicker than traditional vinyl wrap? Reason I ask is Luxe lists their LightWrap product at 3.5 mil on their website, which is causing some concerns with rocks knocking holes in it.
The Xpel PPF the shop is currently installing on my truck is 8 mil, and the Xpel ultimate I have on my headlights is 10 mil.

I’m going to go ahead and buy the Luxe film tonight. I talked to the wrap shop and they directed me to try black colored PPF and see how much light passed through as he didn’t think the Luxe would hold up to road damage, but it sounds like it should. They don’t install the colored PPF either. That’d be yet another shopā€¦šŸ™ƒ

Looks like the site where I bought mine is now out of the Luxe Light Wrap- Midnight. As it was put on by a tint shop, not a wrap shop, I'd say the light film is thinner, but I don't in that industry. I've had it on for months now and I make 100 mile trips (each way) at higher speeds each week. No issues. Still looks like the day it went on.

If you get black OOF, the light will not shine through. Someone on this forum tried that as well. They ended up taking the PPF back off and going a light film/tint. I think they just went with dark smoke- which looks fine on white and grey trucks, but for black I think Midnight is the way to go.

Best of luck...
