I don't know their pricing, but I'd be happy to pay 3 to 4 times the Tesla rate to be able to have access to the network for my truck. It's invaluable if I want to head across the country to know that I have enough chargers that will work where I need them.
Exactly my thoughts as well. With my rental Tesla a few months ago, charging wasn’t even a thought or worry. It just worked. I would pay a premium for that convenience.

So what? If anyone's buying a Tesla for the perceived exclusivity of the charging network they haven't been paying attention to a likely opening of their charging network. I'm specifically singling out those people who believe they're joining this exclusive club, not everyone. Those who will complain all over the internet about how hurt their feelings are because Daddy Elon ruined their club.

Tesla's Supercharger network is a supply service business similar to not only Electrify America and EVgo, but Chevron, Shell, BP and others too. It just happens that this one is owned by a vehicle manufacturer. The price of not "inconveniencing" some of their vehicle customers is irrelevance and major revenue: not opening up and supporting charging all vehicles would end up with them losing market share. Interoperability and access ultimately benefits all EV owners as adoption skyrockets.

I’m not saying people are buying a Tesla to have exclusive charging network but based off of some on this forum - many kept their Tesla as their “family travel” vehicle because of its network which is a competitive advantage. If Tesla were about maximizing revenue they would have opened it up a few years ago as other EVs came online. Look at at the airlines …as Delta and American CEOs said if everyone’s special …no one’s special. Hence why they are having to claw back who can go into the lounges now..why? Because they opened it up to almost everyone and all their best customers complained. Tesla isn’t going to piss off their customers so they will figure out how they can accommodate their customers first AND make revenue off of non Tesla EVs.

Based off your reasoning everyone would have bought a Chevy bolt ….or volt. Whatever it is now….but Tesla is the #1 selling EV maker by selling a car double-quadruple the price of a volt. They will lose market share anyway based off of people like you and me buying a non Tesla EV.

Many People don’t want an EV / or anything now of days ..anyone can afford. They want something that is worth the price of what they are buying while knowing not everyone can buy what they have, and in return get back the performance/ experience / customer service and exclusivity that others can’t get without $$$.

that’s just how I see it. I’m Not saying I’m right your wrong
