replacing cloth XLT seat with leather - possible factory from lariat?

HI there,

Love my lightning. Hate the cloth seats. And I think I have a defective driver's seat cushion. They've replaced it twice...I think just the cloth, not the foam seat cushion...in less than 7 months, and Its starting to get messed up again. It also feels softer, not as well made as the passenger side - which is perfect but it barely gets used.

I'm a little chonky at 225, but I can't be that far off from typical F150 demo... guessing they should hold up much longer than this.

Sat in a new Lariat w leather, and it was very comfortable for me. The form factor seems different than just the leather. Are the two seats completely different?

And is it possible to buy just a lariat driver's seat? I know it would look weird but I don't care.

I've heard of katzkin, etc. but if its just the leather going over the XLT frame/foam I'm not sure I'd get the same comfort as the lariat.

Not sure if the XLT and lariat are different as far as what is underneath or not(although they are heated and cooled, so they probably are)?? I have a 23 lariat with leather which is part of the reason I got the lariat trim!
I thought they had switched to active X(fake leather ) in the 24 and above, but I could be wrong. If you’re going to swap it out why not go with the platinum? It is better leather plus it has the massaging seats unless it’s a 23 as it was a delete for that year. (not sure about the wiring harness though)
You might be able to find any or all of them on eBay.

Hi, I put Katzkin in my 24 Flash and it’s amazing! The level of customization is impressive. It would be worth asking if they could replace the foam.

I had the dealer put Katzkin in my 2015 F150 Sport and it's been absolutely fantastic. It has over 150000 on it and still looks relatively new. The seats aren't heated or cooled though.

You can just look on ebay for leather take offs from another F150 of the same generation and they will fit. Except the headrests for plats as I think they have different shape. I swapped mine Lariat for lariat as I didnt like the light color seats. cost me $200 for the takeoffs and few hours to make the swap.

this is one of the reasons why I upgraded to the 312A package in my XLT Lighting. It comes with the better seats and other features. What trim level did you get?
