Tesla Supercharger adapter made by LECTRON (STAY AWAY!)

Hello y'all,

Just wanted to share with y'all my recent experience with LECTRON adapter I bought last year in August after I bought my new Lightning Platinum (I received Ford adapter just a week ago after 8 month wait... Terrible!).
I have a Tesla membership and I enjoy the experience every time and much lower pricing vs Electrify America.
We usually stop at Bucee's to use Supercharger and it always worked splendidly however not this time.
I pulled up and started charging as usual and went inside Bucee's. Few minutes later I received notification that there was a charger fault and it stopped charging. I went back and changed charger station and I couldn't get it going!.. Did it 3 more times with no success.. Then I did it for the 5th time and it charged for the same 10 kWh as the first time. I kinda started freaking out thinking there was something wrong with my new truck... HOWEVER I decided to go to Electrify America just down the road and I had no trouble charging then! Only my pocket suffered from $.56/kWh price vs $.32 per kWh at Tesla.
Point I'm making is that the LECTRON adapter I paid $250 for FAILED me and I almost got stranded half way from my destination 200 miles away!
I would advise to stay away from LECTRON adapters unless you want give yourself a small heart attack! Lol

I personally stick with known third party vendors like A2Z EV and Lectron.

If you can afford and get your hands on the OEM Tesla adapter that is best possible option.

Stay away from any adapter that is not following the UL standards even though they are not finalized. These companies will continue to update their design if necessary, offer customer service, warranty and stand behind their products by doing product recalls even if it comes at a big cost.

I personally keep both the OEM Tesla adapter and A2Z Stellar AC / Typhoon Pro DCFC adapter to have myself covered at all times. I also keep the AC level 2 adapter as well to charge overnight at hotels.

This ensures I have a backup always and I can charge at Tesla Destination chargers commonly found at hotels / shopping center / parking lots.

The level 2 Stellar adapter will pay for it self overtime by avoiding an expensive fast charge on the road every night while you sleep at the hotel with Tesla destination charging.
